He placed a hand on the doorknob, paused, and asked, "Are you still wearing your clothes?"

Daisy nodded.

Only then did Xavier step inside, breaking his own rules as he patiently taught Daisy how to use the shower.

After all the fumbling, Daisy ended up taking half an hour to wash up.

Pressured by the production crew, the Mayor had to dig out a set of Chloe's clothes for Daisy to wear. Clutching the outfit, he hurried up the stairs.

"Master Sterling? Master Sterling! It's the Mayor. I brought some clothes for Daisy." His voice practically dripped with flattery.

The door swung open, but Xavier simply said, "No need."

He stepped aside. "She's already dressed."

Daisy had just walked out of the bathroom. She was drowning in a hoodie that was several sizes too big, making it look like a massive, shapeless dress. Her thin little ankles peeked out from the bottom.

The sleeves hung so far past her hands that she had to lift her arms just to move, standing there looking a bit dazed but overwhelmingly adorable.

Xavier had given her his own clothes.

"T-This..." The Mayor's words died in his throat.

The camera caught sight of Daisy's new look, and the livestream chat exploded once again.

"Come here. Let's dry your hair," Xavier said, holding a hand out to Daisy.

Daisy was already catching a cold. Her nose was stuffed up, so she sounded highly nasal as she replied, "It'll dry on its own."

Xavier frowned in heavy displeasure. "Dry on its own? You'll get a severe fever. Get over here... Oh, let me guess, you've never seen a hairdryer either, have you?"

"I'll dry it for you." Xavier felt he couldn't trust anyone else to handle this properly.

Daisy looked up, cast a nervous, fleeting glance at the Mayor, and then carefully walked over to Xavier.
