The Tower Reversed: Back to 18 (Venus) novel Chapter 123

Chapter 123 Discharged

“She only studied for a few years. How could she ever beat the two of us?”

“We’re both top students who graduated from medical school, okay?”

Neither of them could accept it.

Neil gritted his teeth. “But for some reason, Lucas believes her. It’s so weird.”

Vienna narrowed her eyes, a trace of malice flickering within them.

“Forget about Ava’s case, but Sophia is different. Her company is one of the top three luxury brands in the country-super influential. You have to cure her, or your reputation might take a hit if word gets out.”

Neil had not thought about it that way, but once she said it, it made sense.

If Venus somehow got lucky again and Sophia recovered, Lucas would definitely be grateful to her.

And once Lucas started talking about it in his circle …

If people started saying Venus was more skilled than him, a medical school graduate, where would he put his pride?

“No way, I can’t just sit here and let her mess around. I’m going to keep an eye on her!” Neil jumped up and stormed out.

Inside the ward.

Venus and Darcy had already set up the whole trap, ready to catch the water ghost.

“Venus, as Sophia’s attending doctor, I order you to step out of the ward immediately!” Neil’s voice shouted from outside.

“I seriously suspect you’re up to no good!

“If you don’t come out now, I’ll break in with security!”

Darcy could not take it anymore. Rolling up his sleeves, he said, “Ms. Oracle, I’m just gonna go out there and fight him. That guy’s too annoying!”

Venus glanced at Sophia’s condition, thought for a moment, and said, “Catching the water ghost tonight might cause quite a commotion, and with Neil causing trouble outside, call Lucas and tell him to bring Sophia home.”

Darcy froze. “Is she even fit to go home right now?”

Venus calmly said, “She can. The reason she hasn’t woken up is that her soul is missing. Once we retrieve it, she’ll wake.”

Darcy nodded, walked to the window, and called Lucas.

Venus started packing away her things.

Lucas did not want to take his daughter home at first, but when Darcy told him that the VIP

ward was full of powerful people and if they found out Sophia was haunted, all sorts of rumors might start, he quickly agreed and sent an MPV to pick her up.

Bang!

The ward door was slammed open.

Neil barged in with security, glaring coldly. “Venus, what shady stuff are you doing in here?”

Darcy frowned. “Dr. Burn, watch your mouth.”

Neil ordered the guards, “She doesn’t work here and doesn’t have a medical license. Throw her

out.”

Just as the guards moved, the secretary walked in, phone in hand. “Wait!”

Neil scoffed. “You call yourself Mr. Jynn’s secretary? His daughter was almost harmed, and you’re just standing there doing nothing? When Mr. Jynn comes back, I’ll tell him everything …

The secretary calmly said, “Mr. Jynn just called. Ms. Sophia won’t be treated in this hospital anymore.”

Neil’s face changed. “What? Why not?”

“No reason. The car’s almost here. Dr. Burn, I’ll go with you to handle the discharge papers.”

Neil fumed. “But she’s still unconscious! How can you take her away?”

The secretary replied, “Mr. Jynn has arranged for the best private medical team to treat her at home. You don’t have to worry.”

Neil’s anger burned even hotter, his eyes glaring at Venus with poisonous hate.

He was sure Lucas’s sudden decisions had something to do with that annoying girl.
