“It’s nothing. So, Mr. Drake, what brings you here today Venus accepted the tea Saul handed her and took a light sip.

Drake leaned forward and said with a straight face, “You once told me I was cursed by the blood omen. How do I fix that?”

“For most people, carrying a protection sigil can neutralize the omen,” Venus said directly. “But your constitution is weak. The protection sigil alone won’t be enough. The protective sigil I gave you will keep you safe for a while-at least a week.”

Drake frowned. “And after a week?”

“Why? You have somewhere you need to be?”

He smiled faintly. “I just don’t want to die too soon. I’m counting on you, Ms. Oracle.”

Venus replied calmly, “Keep the protection sigil with you at all times. But that alone won’t be enough. In the place where you live, set a circle aligned with the five elements-earth, water, fire, air, and spirit. Let their flow balance what is light and what is dark. When the currents are steady, peace will linger, and fortune will rise.”

Drake decided right away. “Then let’s set it up here. When can we start?”

“Here?” Venus frowned.

“Why not?” Drake asked, confused. “Isn’t Stormvale fine?

Venus cleared her throat. “As far as I know, Mr. Drake still owns other properties. Stormvale is known as a cursed place. Aren’t you afraid?”

Drake’s face stayed calm. “From your tone, Ms. Oracle, sounds like you’d rather I didn’t live here.”

Venus forced a smile. “That’s not it. It’s your house-you can live wherever you want. I’m just curious why you’d choose a place everyone else avoids like the plagu.”

She added, “People in business usually stay away from such things.”

Drake met her gaze, a faint smirk on his lips. “It’s quiet ere. I like it.”

Venus blinked. “Huh? Quiet? That’s one way to put it.”

Stormvale sat quietly by the mountain and the lake. One a neighborhood of life and laughter, now only two villas still had people living in them. No wonder it lt so silent.

Venus glanced at Drake. He looked so serious that, even hough she was curious, she decided not to ask anything. Instead, she handed him a list.

“These are the materials you’ll need to set up the elemental circle,” she said. “Once everything’s ready, call

me and 7’ll come over.”

She was about to leave when Drake suddenly stopped hr.

“Wait.”

Venus turned around. “What’s wrong?

His face looked conflicted. His expression carried a strange, quiet sorrow. It took him a few seconds before he finally asked. Are you okay?”

Venus blinked, caught off guard. “Of course I’m fine. Why wouldn’t I be?”

Drake’s brows relaxed. A small smile touched his lips. “Good. That’s all I need to hear.

Venus frowned in confusion. She had no idea what he meant.

When she stepped out of the house, she stopped Saul and asked, “What’s with your boss just now? He looked like he was about to say something but changed his mind.”

Saul’s expression grew serious. He turned toward the villa before lowering his voice. “Mr. Drake had a sister. She passed away six years ago because of online rumors. He’s worried you might end up like Ms. Frost.”

Venus froze. Now it all made sense.

No wonder he seemed so tense, his eyes always shadowed with worry.

So that’s what haunted him-his sister.

This was news to Venus.

No wonder he sometimes looked twice when he saw young girls-maybe they reminded him of her.

Venus hesitated, then asked softly, “Saul, I know it’s a litle personal, but… Was his sister really driven to her death by the cyberbully?”

Saul shook his head, his face heavy with grief. “It wasn’t cyberbullying,” he said quietly. “It was the campus bully

Venus was shocked.

Saul sighed. “Ms. Frost was such a good kid. Bright, kind always cheerful. I never thought… Ah, never

mind.”

He stopped himself, eyes glistening, unable to go on.

I’m sorry, Saul. I shouldn’t have brought it up.” Venus sd softly.

“It’s alright, Ms. Oracle. He managed a faint smile. “By the way, Mr. Drake already contacted the PR team to remove the online rumors about you If anything like this happens again, just reach out to him directly”

Venus finally understood-that must have been what he was doing carlier when she’d walked in, tablet in hand, coordinating the post removals.

“Please thank him for me, she promised. “I’ll take care his blood omen. I won’t let his grandfather see his grandson go before him.”

Saul nodded deeply, saying nothing more.
