The Tower Reversed: Back to 18 (Venus) novel Chapter 82

Chapter 82 The Family Meeting

“Then let her be,” Julian said coldly.

“Before that, keep an eye on her. Don’t let her run around too much. Once things settle, bring her home.

“The longer she stays out there, the worse it’ll be for our family’s fortune.”

That was all it took to make Harvey panic. He immediately called his children and ordered a family meeting. No one was allowed to miss it.

Everyone came home, except for Percy, who was still in juvie.

When Harvey announced that everyone had to accept Venus again and treat her as family, the siblings looked at each other in disbelief.

Bree was the first to explode. “I won’t accept her as my sister. Dad, she’s a total embarrassment! I can’t even say her name outside without people laughing at me.”

Rayne rolled his eyes hard. “Dad, that’s a no for me too. Venus is rotten to the core. Bad all the way through!”

Neil crossed his arms. Just thinking about Venus and how she’d been beating everyone lately made his stomach twist. He rejected it outright.

“I’m against it too. She’s like a live grenade now. Whoever gets close is bound to get blown up.”

Harvey’s expression turned hard. “No matter what you think, she’s your blood. Even if you don’t like her, you’ll deal with it!”

The siblings all scoffed, clearly unconvinced.

Lumi spoke softly, her voice gentle and sweet. “Dad, I agree. I think Venus should come home. I’ll give back everything that was supposed to be hers.”

“Lumi!” Her brothers blurted out, completely shocked, and none of them agreed.

Rayne snapped, “Lumi, you are our sister! Venus doesn’t deserve to be one of us. She’s delusional if she believes she part of the family!”

Lumi’s eyes turned red. “But it’s true that I took Venus’s place. If she’s angry, I can understand that. Now that she wants to come back, it’s only right I make the first move and give her what belongs to her. Maybe then she won’t fight with everyone.

“As long as our family stays peaceful, I don’t mind making some sacrifices.”

Chapter 82 The rainy wiecony

Her gentle, selfless words made her brothers’ hearts ache.

Neil placed a hand on her shoulder and said firmly, “Whether Venus comes back or not, you’ll always be our sister, closer than the real one.”

Harvey felt torn watching how everyone in the family disliked Venus. No one wanted her around, and even he couldn’t find a good solution.

Megan spoke up, “Honey, Venus grew up in a tough environment. She’s defensive toward everyone. If she has to live under the same roof with our family, she’s going to feel uncomfortable.”

She paused, then suggested, “How about this? Let’s build her a small guesthouse in the backyard. Hire a maid to take care of her meals and daily needs. She can live comfortably on her own, and no one will argue with her. It still counts as living at home.”

Harvey’s eyes lit up. “That’s perfect! As long as she stays with us, it doesn’t matter where she sleeps.”

Axel frowned and asked, “Dad, why are you so set on bringing Venus home?”

He could tell his father didn’t like Venus.

If he disliked her that much, why bother forcing her back?

Harvey explained, “Your grandpa made me think today. He’s right. I’ve neglected her. Venus is my daughter by blood. She’s been out there for seventeen years. As her father, I should take responsibility to take good care of her.”

Axel asked calmly, “And if she refuses to come back?”

“Axel,” Harvey said, trying to sound sincere, “you’re the oldest. Venus always respected you the most. If anyone can convince her, it’s you. Could you go to her place and bring her home?”

Axel fell silent. He thought about Venus’s cold, determined expression the last time he saw her. Yet, seeing the guilt and sincerity in his father’s eyes, he finally agreed. “Alright. I’ll find the right time to talk to her. I’ll do my best to bring her home.”

With Axel on board, Harvey finally relaxed.

The rest of the family stayed silent after seeing how determined Harvey was. No one dared argue anymore.

Only Lumi’s expression turned darker than before-her face clouded with something cold and bitter.

Before dawn the next morning, just before five, Venus’s phone started ringing nonstop.
