Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 105 by Ansel Bick

Despite that hope, Mathis was dead set on making her suffer. Even with Professor Adler stepping in, a man as cold and ruthless as him wasn't likely to just let it go.

Bianca couldn't see a single ray of hope, but she had to try.

"I'll have to trouble the Professor, then."

She forwarded all the relevant documents to Cillian.

That very night, Cillian went to see Walter Adler. Walter had taught Bianca for four years and knew her character inside out.

She would never plagiarize. It was blatantly obvious that Mathis was framing her.

Reviewing the supposedly complete chain of evidence, Walter sighed. "Bianca really has awful luck, getting tangled up with a man like Mathis Jagger."

Ever since the controversy surrounding him taking on students, Walter had heavily disliked Mathis.

He felt the man's moral compass was skewed. The promised five hundred million was nothing but empty talk, yet he aggressively milked it for PR online.

Only an idiot like Cynthia Quinn would blindly trust Mathis.

Walter called Mathis, but the phone rang unanswered.

Cillian suspected Mathis was intentionally ignoring the call.

Meeting Cillian's hopeful gaze, Walter said, "I'll keep calling him over the next few days. I'll call until he finally picks up.

If he weren't out of town, I'd march over there myself and demand to know what the hell he's playing at. How dare he touch one of my students."

Cillian smiled. "Thank you for taking the time, Professor."

"Tell Bianca that whenever she runs into trouble, she needs to come to me," Walter instructed. "She shouldn't carry everything on her own. Her parents might be gone, but we can help her."

"I will. I'll make sure to tell her," Cillian replied.

This year, the October long weekend ran straight into the holidays. Fortunately, Bianca had mailed holiday gifts to the professor and his wife ahead of time.

As for Mabel, she didn't dare send anything. She was terrified Mathis might trace the package and discover her grandmother's whereabouts.

Bianca climbed into Milo's car. The opulent interior took her by surprise; it felt like stepping into a spaceship.

Eating a messy dessert inside a supercar made her a little nervous.

Milo waved a hand casually. "Eat it, it's fine. If you spill, you don't have to pay for it."

Bianca cracked a smile. "Sorry, I completely forgot. When is he heading back to Kingsbridge City?"

Mathis's business trips usually lasted a few days. Whatever deal he was handling would typically be closed in short order.

Unless it was a massive international acquisition, the longest he'd ever been away was ten days.

Milo started the car, looking effortlessly handsome as he steered with one hand.

"No news yet. He already wrapped up the merger he was working on. I have no idea why he's still loitering around Austin City. He's not trying to get back together with you, is he? The guy's an absolute trainwreck—you're not actually thinking of taking him back, are you?"

Tasting the sweet dessert, Bianca replied, "I'm eating. Let's not bring up something so ruinous to my appetite. Keep an eye on him; I just need to know which flight he takes back. His mistress is riding high right now. If their affair gets exposed, she'll throw a massive tantrum and force him to divorce me."
