Summary for Chapter 151: The Transactional Marriage That Imploded

Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 151 by Ansel Bick

She needed Cynthia and whoever was backing her dead, but no one could pull that off except Mathis. And Mathis was currently protecting her with everything he had!

"I don't need anything, Milo. Go focus on your own work. I'm fine."

Milo left with a heavy sigh. In his twenty-something years of life, he had never felt so utterly helpless.

He had no idea how to pull Bianca out of this abyss.

Despite being on strict bed rest to recover, Bianca couldn't stay idle. The moment she stopped, her mind was flooded with images of her baby covered in blood.

She spent every day hunched over her laptop, writing code.

The postpartum nurse tried to talk her out of it a few times, but eventually gave up and let her be.

Mabel tried to intervene as well, but Bianca just frowned. "Grandma, if I don't code, I feel like I'm losing my mind. Please, just let me work."

"You'll have plenty of time to work later," Mabel said gently. "A few weeks of rest won't hurt."

The sorrow etched into Bianca's features was impossible to smooth away. "Grandma, if I don't do this, I won't survive this period."

She could only numb herself with work.

Mabel let out a long sigh, watching her with daily growing anxiety. Bianca's distress showed no signs of fading.

If anything, it was getting worse.

Jax caught wind of the situation from Mabel and rushed back immediately.

Seeing Bianca after a few months away, he was devastated. She was practically skin and bones.

Heartbroken, Jax pulled her into his arms. Bianca didn't shed a single tear. She just said flatly, "Jax, I'm fine now."

He frowned. "Why do you have to act so strong? You don't need to put up a front with me. I know your heart is broken. You need to let those emotions out if you want to heal."

But Bianca felt she had already let out enough. Tears wouldn't kill the people she hated.

"I don't need to vent anymore."

This had started in the hospital, and the doctor had prescribed sleeping pills, urging her to take them only if absolutely necessary.

After days of brutal exhaustion, she finally broke down and took a pill just to get some rest.

Even then, she could only manage about four hours of sleep.

She was visibly wasting away. When Milo came over to check on her, his brows knitted together in deep concern.

"You're going to torture yourself to death at this rate. I'm taking you to a naturopathic doctor. No matter what happened, you have to look forward."

Bianca agreed. Milo booked an appointment with an experienced holistic healer for the very next day.

He stayed by her side the entire day, refusing to leave.

When he saw her still glued to her laptop, he reached over and firmly snapped it shut.

"Are you trying to kill yourself? You're supposed to be recovering, and you're coding?"
