Summary for Chapter 190: The Transactional Marriage That Imploded

Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 190 by Ansel Bick

Cynthia's eyes zeroed in on the toddler in Bianca's arms. Ever since she discovered the brat's existence, she had desperately tried to eliminate her.

But every single attempt had ended in total failure; her people couldn't even get within fifty feet of the child.

It was infuriatingly obvious that Mathis valued Bianca's bastard far more than he did her own son.

Cynthia wanted nothing more than to tear the two of them limb from limb.

Throwing all sense of decorum out the window, Cynthia launched herself into Mathis's arms, sobbing dramatically. "Mathis, Lamont and I missed you so much!"

Lamont chimed in with a practiced whine, "Daddy, you can't choose that bad woman over us!"

Mathis didn't reciprocate the embrace; instead, he simply frowned, his gaze fixed anxiously on Bianca and Aveline.

Bianca let out a disgusted scoff. Unwilling to entertain their pathetic theatricals, she tightened her hold on Aveline and walked away.

Since she didn't have a car seat in her own vehicle, she quickly hailed a rideshare.

The moment the mother and daughter settled into the backseat, the goons Neville Quinn had hired immediately fell into formation behind them.

Neville had zero intentions of letting Bianca and her child survive the day.

He mistakenly assumed that since Cynthia had Mathis successfully distracted, Mathis hadn't bothered establishing any security protocols.

Emboldened by his own arrogance, Neville ordered his men to strike. At a desolate intersection, they ruthlessly ran the rideshare off the road.

Over a dozen thugs poured out of three heavily tinted SUVs, aggressively pounding on the windows and demanding the driver unlock the doors.

Instantly realizing the lethal danger they were in, Bianca swiftly transferred a massive tip to the driver's account.

"Do not open those doors," she ordered with absolute steel in her voice. "They're here to kidnap us. Run the light and step on it."

Terrified for his own life, the driver slammed his foot on the gas and tore through the red light.

Without missing a beat, Bianca whipped out her phone and dialed the police.

Securely tucked against Bianca's chest, Aveline remained completely unfazed by the violent chaos.

Lulled by the warm, comforting rhythm of her mother's heartbeat, she was already fast asleep.

Once safely inside the police precinct, Bianca didn't hesitate for a second to point the finger squarely at the Quinns.

"That woman is my ex-husband's mistress. She has always seen my daughter and me as a massive threat to her lifestyle, and I honestly don't have any other enemies in Kingsbridge City."
