Summary for Chapter 215: The Transactional Marriage That Imploded

Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 215 by Ansel Bick

Bianca looked completely bewildered. "What do you mean?"

"The language of purple hyacinths is an apology," Xanthe explained. "If he didn't piss you off, why would he send you those?"

Realization slammed into Bianca. It was Mathis.

He was truly despicable. Just last night, he swore he wouldn't bail Cynthia out, and today he was personally escorting her to see an incredibly exclusive doctor.

When it came to moving heaven and earth for Cynthia, he had no equal.

She didn't need his pathetic apologies. Suddenly, the flowers looked repulsive. She picked up the phone and told Tessa to get rid of them.

Tessa happily distributed the blooms among the R&D team. The tech geeks thought they smelled nice.

Once she finished her tasks, Tessa returned to the frontlines of the office gossip war, typing furiously: *The Director threw the flowers away! I wonder who made her mad?*

The consensus was that some absolute fool had crossed her. Bianca had a great temper, so whoever managed to piss her off had to be awful.

One look at Bianca's face was all Xanthe needed to know that her toxic ex-husband was at it again. She immediately asked what happened.

Xanthe had been at her parents' house for dinner last night, so she had completely missed the family-of-three dining fiasco.

Bianca recounted the encounter at Dr. Sagan's clinic, sending Xanthe into a fiery tirade.

"Why won't that homewrecking tart just drop dead?! People die every single day, yet she's still bouncing around. Mathis's brain must be fully rotting if he actually loves a woman like that."

Bianca slipped on her blue-light glasses, getting ready to dive back into work. During her year in hiding on Coconut Island, her heart had been reduced to ash, but her sheer hatred had kept her alive.

She buried her turbulent emotions beneath lines of code and strategy. Slowly, the work had glued her shattered soul back together.

Throwing herself into her career not only brought her significant financial independence and status, but it quite literally kept her breathing.
