He only had himself to blame for meeting her a step too late.
"I don't mind at all. Your daughter is absolutely gorgeous. Who wouldn't love her?"
Bianca let out a soft laugh. Aveline seemed to understand, clapping her little hands and chiming in, "Thank you!"
Milo replied, "What a good girl."
The Wilder Villa was located in the Old Town Circle. A short walk down the road was the Belfry District, and just around the corner was St. Jude's Shrine.
The location was even more prestigious than the Begonia House.
Milo brought the head butler down to the underground garage to greet them personally.
The massive garage was packed with an array of cars, not all of which were luxury vehicles. Out of eight parking spots, only one was left empty. Bianca was puzzled. "You don't even live in Kingsbridge City full-time. Why do you have so many cars?"
Milo explained, "They aren't mine. My sister is hosting an after-party for her art exhibition today. A lot of the guests had to park outside, but I made sure they left this spot open just for you."
Bianca hesitated. "Am I interrupting something?"
Milo shook his head. "Not at all. The house is sixteen thousand square feet. They could blow the roof off and it wouldn't bother us."
Bianca told Milo to pick two boxes of whichever fruit he liked and have them carried up, admitting she didn't actually know his favorites.
Milo picked a box of peaches and had the butler carry it. Bianca teased him, saying monkeys loved peaches.
Milo bantered right back, keeping the mood light and playful.
Watching their dynamic made the butler smile. The young master was truly smitten with this woman.
Milo reached out to hold Aveline, but she was shy around strangers and refused to go into his arms.
Milo mentally noted that this little toddler might be the biggest obstacle between him and Bianca, so he pulled out all the stops to make her laugh.
But Aveline remained completely unfazed, treating him with the exact same cold indifference she showed Jax.
