Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 237 by Ansel Bick
"Mathis never loved Bianca. What he feels for Cynthia is true, undeniable love. He's probably the most devoted guy in our circle, paving the way for her and now hunting down such a rare pink diamond just for her.
"Shouldn't you be happy that our brother has finally found happiness?"
Simon, pushed to his absolute limit, snapped, "Love is about timing, and human beings are supposed to have basic decency and shame. Someone as utterly shameless as you shouldn't ever call yourself a friend of mine again."
Furious, Simon hung up the phone. If Payton hadn't been a childhood friend, he would have blocked his number entirely.
He finally understood why Xanthe was so enraged. Watching a parasite steal the nest and gloat about it would make any normal person sick.
Worried that Bianca might be upset, he sent her a text: *Don't let the tragedies or comedies of other people dictate your mood.*
Bianca replied calmly: *I don't care about Mathis anymore. Nothing he does can affect me. Don't worry.*
*Good. That's the best mindset to have,* Simon typed back, a faint smile touching his lips.
Payton stared blankly at his phone listening to the dial tone, utterly baffled. When had Simon developed such a massive temper?
He immediately called Mathis to complain about Simon blowing up at him, but Mathis remained completely silent.
Payton was confused. "You just proposed to Cynthia. Why don't you sound happy?"
Mathis finally spoke. "Come out and drink with me."
Ever since Aveline was born, Mathis had never once called Payton out for a drink. In fact, before Bianca returned, Payton hadn't even known Aveline existed.
Payton naturally assumed Mathis was just in a fantastic mood after a successful proposal and wanted to celebrate.
"Right now? Usual spot?"
