Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 276 by Ansel Bick

As long as it meant trampling all over Cynthia, Xanthe was happier than anyone.

Bianca rolled her eyes, refusing to back down. "What a coincidence. You spent the entire night playing the devoted lover at the hospital, putting on a spectacular show of eternal romance."

Mathis curled a finger at her, his voice low and dangerous. "Come here."

She ignored him completely. "If you have something to say, say it. Otherwise, get out of my way. I have places to be."

His dark eyes darkened even further. "Going out on a date?"

She replied frostily, "I don't have to report my schedule to you. Just like you didn't feel the need to consult me before rushing in to play the hero yesterday."

She had absolutely zero desire to share the same oxygen as him. She turned on her heel to leave, but he immediately wrapped his arms around her from behind.

His scent instantly invaded her senses, and it made her stomach turn in sheer disgust.

"I've let you off the hook every single time," he growled. "Why do you keep going after her again and again? I already told you I'd give you a satisfactory resolution down the line."

Furious, she snapped, "Are you done? Since you love playing her savior, go save her and stay the hell away from me! If you hadn't dragged out this divorce, my grandmother would never have died! Stop wasting your breath on me.

If you don't leave right now, I'm calling the police."

Mathis looked entirely unfazed. "Go ahead. Call them. There's no law against a husband hugging his own wife. Don't forget, we are still legally married."

She cursed him for being a total creep. Her brother Jax Holden was away on a business trip; that was the only reason Mathis felt so emboldened.

His low voice brushed against her ear. "I am a creep. And I'm going to creep into your life forever."

Her temper flared completely out of control. "Will you physically die if you don't force yourself on me? Or is she just not satisfying you enough, so you have to come harass me? I distinctly remember you pretending you didn't even know me in public yesterday."

The mention of yesterday struck a deep chord of frustration within him, and his eyes filled with profound regret.

Capitalizing on his momentary distraction, she viciously slammed her elbow backward, breaking his grip.

She silently decided she was done with yoga classes. From now on, she was taking up kickboxing purely so she could beat the living daylights out of this bastard.

There was only about a six-inch height difference between them. She wasn't entirely helpless.

This time, he didn't try to grab her again. "I told you, just give me some time. I will explain everything."

He knew damn well that if he wasn't currently holding Aveline as leverage, Bianca's revenge would extend far beyond just targeting Cynthia.

She couldn't care less about his explanations. She shot back a simple, "I don't need it," and marched right out the door.

Mathis knew perfectly well that he meant absolutely nothing to her anymore, but he found it completely impossible to let her go.

She was like a poison wrapped relentlessly around his heart.
