Yonah looked Bianca up and down. The resentment in her eyes was practically overflowing.

Yonah casually asked, "Which man offended you this badly?"

"Don't worry about it!"

Yonah didn't pry any further. He simply said, "You have an athletic foundation. If you come every weekday during your lunch break... give it three months. You'll be able to cause that guy some serious damage."

Bianca's complexion visibly brightened. "Alright then, coach. I'll come every day I have work."

"Mm."

The two exchanged contact info, but Bianca, ever guarded, didn't give him access to her social media feed.

Yonah did the same.

Outside of their coach-and-student dynamic, neither of them wanted to get involved in the other's personal life.

Bianca showered in the locker room and headed back to the company for lunch. Even though Jax Holden was still out of town on a business trip, he made sure her meals were thoroughly arranged and never neglected.

While Bianca was eating alone in her office, Xanthe drifted in.

Xanthe looked like an angry, fluffed-up little lion. Bianca smiled and asked, "Who provoked you now?"

Xanthe huffed in outrage. "Timothy Wyndham just told me he had lunch with Mathis and his crew. Those two actually did a Linked-Arms Toast in front of everyone from Aeterna Dynamics, and that bastard Mathis and that tart went right along with it!"

Bianca wasn't angered by the news. Instead, she accepted it with calm resignation.

"It's not surprising. They have a child together, and Mathis already proposed. Walking down the aisle is only a matter of time."

Xanthe understood the logic, but she couldn't stop her temper from flaring.

Bringing the mistress to the ex-wife's company for business negotiations was bad enough, but they had to put on such a sickening display? Were they treating Bianca like she was invisible?

Xanthe's explosive temper couldn't handle a shred of it. She cursed them out, calling them shameless, arrogant frauds, and absolute bottom-feeders.

Having finished her boxing session, Bianca was in a surprisingly good mood. She summed it up with a poetic flair: "They'll be forgotten in the dirt, while we move on to bigger and better things."

Xanthe agreed with her summary, adding that those two would eventually ruin their own reputations.

Bianca lowered her head and went back to eating.

Only after cursing them out did Xanthe finally feel at ease. Watching Bianca polish off her food, she knew her tirade had helped share her friend's burden.

"You still have a meeting with them this afternoon. You're not allowed to let this ruin your mood."

Bianca smiled softly. "Don't worry. I have Aveline by my side. I won't let myself be unhappy."

Relieved, Xanthe finally left.

The afternoon negotiations continued to run in circles. Even Cillian started to wonder if Mathis was deliberately trying to sabotage the partnership between Stellaride and Aeterna.

Bianca shared the same suspicion. Frankly, she felt that failing to secure the collaboration would be a blessing.

It would save her the trouble of figuring out how to deal with Cynthia.

But since it was an assignment from upper management, they had no choice but to play along with Mathis's stalling tactics.
