Summary for Chapter 322: The Transactional Marriage That Imploded

Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 322 by Ansel Bick

*The only reason I've kept you alive this long is so you can take your son out of the country. Lamont dared to try and ruin Bianca's face; I'm not letting that go.*

In the country, there were laws to restrain Mathis. Abroad, he wouldn't be nearly as merciful.

He took a hard drag of his cigarette, his mind flashing to the image of Bianca standing under the tree.

He promised himself, *Bianca, from now on, I will protect you. Whether you're willing to love me again or not, you will never fall into another man's arms.*

With Cynthia's arrest, Rosalind was in a total panic.

Lamont wasn't her brother's son, which meant Mathis was definitely going to destroy Cynthia.

To save herself, Cynthia would undoubtedly throw Rosalind under the bus. Judging by what her brother had posted on Twitter, his love for Bianca was real.

If he found out she was the mastermind behind the attack on Bianca, she couldn't even imagine how unhinged he would get.

Left with no other options, Rosalind confessed her idiotic actions to her parents.

Hadrian waved it off. "Cynthia's days are numbered; she won't be kicking for long. Use Lamont to threaten her. If she dares say a single word against you, I'll cripple her son."

Rosalind thought her father's idea was brilliant and eagerly agreed.

What they hadn't anticipated was that Cynthia didn't actually love Lamont all that much. She couldn't care less whether the boy lived or died.

In the past, she had only protected him because he was her bargaining chip. Now that he had lost his value, he meant nothing to her.

Instead, Cynthia turned the tables, demanding that Hadrian get Mathis to release her. Otherwise, she would go straight to the police and expose Rosalind's role in instigating the attack.

Cynthia was so used to Mathis's protection that, having lost her safety net, she was desperately clinging to this final lifeline.

She didn't even know what charges Mathis had pinned on her to get her locked up.

Hadrian and Evita were worried sick. Their son had risked everything to completely dismantle the Quinn family—why on earth would he let Cynthia go?

After discussing it endlessly, Hadrian finally said, "We have to go talk to him. He can't just stand by and watch his sister go to jail."

Cynthia had only given them two days.

When Mathis heard the news, he exploded in rage, instantly slapping Rosalind across the face.

"How could you be so vicious? Trying to destroy your sister-in-law's face—what good would that even do you?"

The slap was brutal, leaving Rosalind's ears ringing.

In her entire life, the only person who had ever struck her was Bianca, who had kicked her at their grandmother's birthday banquet years ago.

Rosalind sobbed, "Why does she get everything? She's just a divorced woman, yet she still managed to hook a guy like Milo! I just couldn't stand how arrogant she was."

Mathis, furious, planted his hands on his hips and roared, "Is she as arrogant as you? You're completely useless and full of yourself, looking down on everyone just because of our family's name.

Have you ever stopped to think about what you'd actually have left if you didn't have the Jagger name?"

Covering her face, Rosalind broke down entirely, screaming through her tears, "So what if I was born into a better family than her?"
