Corbin, on the other hand, realized that Mathis had once again made Dawnstar Capital a fortune. Although the offshore funds couldn't be touched just yet, Mathis had sold off other shares, bringing in massive profits for Dawnstar.

Most importantly, he managed to cash out at the peak and walk away completely unscathed, leaving no room for anyone to find fault with his actions.

In the past, Corbin had still entertained thoughts of challenging Mathis, but with Mathis pulling off such a monumental victory, Corbin knew he had no choice but to keep his head down and behave.

He could no longer dream of seizing control of Dawnstar. It stung, considering the company was worth a trillion, but he had to accept reality.

Sure enough, thanks to Mathis's maneuvers, Dawnstar's stock price had surged again.

Corbin realized that aside from Bianca being his one vulnerability, Mathis was virtually indestructible.

However, Bianca was actively resisting any collaboration with Corbin, so that plan would require careful long-term strategy.

Since they were discussing business, Bianca didn't refuse the dinner, but she made sure to give Milo a heads-up first. After all, Mathis's motives were anything but pure.

[I'm having dinner with Cillian, the team, and Mathis tonight. Don't get jealous, fiancé!]

Milo: [Is that nuisance bothering you again?]

Bianca: [It's fine. Cillian and the others will be there, so Mathis won't try anything. He talks constantly, but I mostly ignore him. It's like Cynthia rubbed off on him—he has way too much nonsense to say now.]

Milo chuckled at his phone. [Alright, thanks for checking in, fiancée.]

He then sent her a photo of his own dinner. When there is love between a man and a woman, the desire to share every little detail comes naturally.

In the elevator, Bianca kept her eyes glued to her screen, a soft smile playing on her lips. It didn't take a genius to figure out she was texting Milo.

Mathis's face was as dark as storm clouds. Cillian stood to the side, quietly enjoying the show.

Mathis had wounded her deeply back then, and today, she was returning that coldness in full force.

Cillian silently concluded: *Karma is a bitch.*

When they reached the underground parking garage, Mathis shamelessly claimed his driver had taken his car and slid right into the passenger seat of Bianca's vehicle.

Bianca frowned. "Does doing things like this give you any sense of purpose?"

Mathis replied, "It might not mean anything to you, but to me, just sitting in the same car as you puts me in a good mood."

Bianca shot him a glare, couldn't be bothered to argue, and silently started the engine.

Mathis, however, decided to strike up a conversation.
