Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 328 by Ansel Bick

"Good. Let them throw themselves at him."

Bianca genuinely hoped Mathis would fall for someone else and stop obsessing over her.

She was incredibly tired of him constantly inserting himself into her life. When love was lost, it was lost.

A shattered mirror could never be made whole again.

The next morning, Bianca didn't go to the airport to see Milo off. She didn't want him dealing with vicious rumors because of her, nor did she want to see him branded as a homewrecker.

She called him instead. Milo was incredibly reluctant to head back.

The two shared a lingering goodbye over the phone. Milo promised to fly over and visit her whenever he had the time.

Bianca told him to prioritize the launch of his new game first. She could always fly out to see him, too.

Bianca said, "In this relationship, you've already walked ninety-nine steps toward me. Why shouldn't I be the one to take the last step?

Besides, I've already spoken with Cillian. From now on, any business trips to Austin City will be assigned to me. I can spend time with you after I finish my work."

Milo's warm laughter came through the receiver. This was the woman he had poured his entire heart into—she would never let him down.

She had claimed she wasn't cut out for romance, but in reality, she knew exactly how to love. She possessed a rare, unshakeable devotion that most people could never achieve.

Once she set her heart on someone, she loved them with everything she had.

After hanging up, Bianca packed her things and took Aveline to visit her parents' graves.

Mathis knocked on her door. Bianca sighed; she was going to have to see him every single day from now on.

He asked where she was going, offering to accompany her if she was heading to Walter's house.

It would be his first formal visit to her professor's home, and he didn't want to miss the opportunity.

Bianca's face instantly darkened. "There's no need. I'm going over to clarify things with my professor, not to formally introduce you as my husband.

We're getting a divorce. Why bother with the formalities?"

Her resolve to divorce him was absolute. It felt as though an invisible hand had roughly seized Mathis's heart, maliciously crushing it.

In the past, whatever he demanded, he would drag her along and force her to comply without a second thought.

But now, he was terrified. Her heart was locked away behind thick ice that simply refused to melt.

Forcing her would only push her further away.

Using a negotiating tone, Mathis asked, "Then can I take Aveline to see my mom? She misses her a lot."

Bianca nodded in agreement. Judging by the look on Aveline's face the night before, she knew her daughter genuinely liked Evita.

If it was something Aveline wanted, Bianca was more than happy to oblige.

Bianca drove to the florist, picked up three bouquets, and headed to the cemetery.

Her mother was buried beside her father. Bianca took out a wet wipe and carefully cleaned the photo on her father's headstone.
