Mathis's eyes were completely glazed over, but he was still murmuring, "Bianca. I only want Bianca. She'll save me, she loves me."

Bianca could hear his frantic voice through the phone.

The memory of that night five years ago slammed into her mind—how he had dragged her into the hotel room, violently tearing off her clothes.

When his burning lips crashed down on hers, he had claimed her completely, driven by pure domination.

In that moment, fear and overwhelming joy had tangled together in Bianca's chest.

He had been drugged that night, too. He probably hadn't even realized who she was, but he had taken her over and over again.

It was her first time ever being intimate with a man, and it was the man she had fallen in love with at first sight.

That night, she was in pain but euphoric, secretly thrilled that she actually got to sleep with the man of her dreams.

Even if they never had a future together, she was happy just to have that memory.

That was exactly why, a month later, when Evita approached her with the proposition of a contract marriage, Bianca had agreed without a second thought, convinced it was fate.

Looking back now, Bianca realized just how horribly wrong she had been.

That night, Mathis would have slept with whoever walked through that door.

Her voice was dead flat as she replied, "No. We're getting a divorce. Tell him to just find some other woman to be his antidote."

Simon's voice turned desperate. "There are women here, but he won't let them near him. He only wants you. If this drags on much longer, his life could be in danger."

Bianca's expression didn't shift an inch. "I can't help him."

If he died, fine. If he dropped dead right now, it would save her the trouble of figuring out how to destroy him herself.

Everyone meets their fate eventually.

Bianca hung up. Simon stood there stunned as the dial tone buzzed in his ear.

Beside him, Mathis was still weakly calling out, "I need Bianca. Bianca..."

Simon tried to call back, but her phone was already turned off.

He looked down at Mathis. "Bianca doesn't want to see you. We're going to the hospital."

Payton quickly shoved the woman who had drugged the drink back into Mathis's arms. Mathis leaned down as if to kiss her, but the second he realized it wasn't Bianca, he used the last shred of his willpower to hurl her backward.

He repeated stubbornly, "I only want Bianca."

Simon told Payton to knock it off and quickly called for an ambulance from the Jagger family hospital, instructing them to prepare emergency detox medications.

Realizing his plan had failed completely, Payton ordered the captain to push the engines to full throttle.

He needed to get down to the security room and delete the cabin footage before Mathis recovered and came after him.

The drug was incredibly pure and fiercely potent. By the time they loaded Mathis into the ambulance, he was barely clinging to life.
