Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 41 by Ansel Bick
Bianca scoffed at Mathis's words, "Same to you. It's not like you didn't know about my history with the Quinn family. What? Run out of women to sleep with? You just had to pick her."
Mathis's sharp eyes betrayed no emotion. He said no more.
His handsome face remained expressionless as he continued to grip Bianca's arm.
"Let go."
Mathis didn't move.
Bianca shook off his hand just as the elevator doors opened, walking away without looking back.
Mathis's deep eyes darkened. "You don't plan on taking me off your block list?"
Bianca glared at him. "We have nothing to say to each other. Either you sign the divorce papers and we go our separate ways, or we act like the other is dead for the rest of our lives."
Mathis stared intently at her. "What if I insist you come home and fulfill your duties as a wife?"
The chill on Bianca's face deepened. "Then it's war."
Mathis finally let go. He was only just now realizing the stubbornness in Bianca's bones.
They had lived under the same roof for over three years, yet he seemed hardly to know her at all.
Bianca felt incredibly jinxed. Once she finished this project, she needed to run fast. Otherwise, dealing with them every day wouldn't be good for the baby's development.
It wasn't until she got home and washed up that Bianca checked her phone. At eleven, Xanthe Webber received a reply from her: [I can't go to Universal Studios with you on Sunday. I need to visit Grandma. I'm planning to work overtime on Saturday.]
Xanthe gasped: [Don't tell me you just got home? Cillian is working you to the bone like a monster, but he doesn't seem like the type.]
Bianca replied: [No, I volunteered for the overtime. I want to wrap up this project as soon as possible.]
Cynthia frowned. "You really are vulgar. No wonder Mathis doesn't like you."
Bianca rolled her eyes at her. "Do you think I care about a cheating man's affection? Keep a piece of trash like Mathis if you like him so much.
You're pretty useless yourself. You've had his child, yet you still can't get him to divorce me. If I were you, I'd just bash my head against a wall."
Cynthia sneered, "Mathis clears the path for me. What has he done for you? You took ten million from him to work like a dog for three years, while I don't have to lift a finger, and all his resources lean toward me. He even gave me shares in Progenix Tech. Don't you feel like a failure of a woman?"
In the past, Bianca might have felt hurt by Mathis's blatant favoritism, but now she didn't care. "He likes airheads like you. What can I do? Scoop his pig brains out?
Don't make yourself out to be so important. If he actually cared about you, he wouldn't let you bear the stigma of having a child out of wedlock.
You're just overly confident. But neither of you are any good anyway. A bitch and a dog—a match made in heaven."
