Summary for Chapter 65: The Transactional Marriage That Imploded

Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 65 by Ansel Bick

Ordinary people simply couldn't get a meeting with Professor Adler, but the Jagger family had some history with him. Coupled with Mathis's influential status in the capital's elite circles, securing a meeting was still possible.

However, getting Professor Adler to accept Cynthia would take some effort.

Mathis specifically arranged to meet at Professor Adler's house. His wife, Maxine, enthusiastically prepared a delicate coffee break.

Top-tier coffee paired with exquisite pastries, surrounded by the calming scent of incense reminiscent of ancient zithers. Sitting there made one feel inexplicably peaceful.

Maxine said admiringly, "You two are quite a match. I saw the video of Mr. Jagger setting off fireworks for Ms. Quinn. Mr. Jagger really cares deeply for you, Ms. Quinn."

Who doesn't love a story of a talented man and a beautiful woman? Very few people knew they were having an affair. Cynthia, on the other hand, always felt she was Mathis's true love.

Cynthia shyly hid in Mathis's embrace. "Mrs. Adler, you're making me blush."

Maxine chuckled lightly. "The young lady is shy. It's wonderful to have a man who dotes on you so much. Enjoy the beauty of romance while you're young."

Cynthia said without concealing anything, "Yes, Mathis is incredibly attentive to me."

Mathis also looked at Cynthia with deep affection. Maxine almost felt pink bubbles forming around them.

Professor Adler's first impression of Cynthia was good. He respected talent, and if Cynthia met his requirements, he wouldn't mind taking on another doctoral student.

Consequently, they started discussing professional topics. In front of a true expert, Cynthia quickly showed her ignorance, completely exposing her empty-headed nature.

Maxine felt embarrassed for her. Showing off this level of competence in front of her husband was truly asking for trouble.

She glanced at Mathis. This man was so famous in the financial world; how could he deeply love a woman with nothing but looks?

Professor Adler put it on speakerphone; he wanted to bring this matter out into the open.

As soon as Cynthia heard Bianca's voice, her face dropped. What right did Bianca have to know a big shot like this? Just because of her face? Cynthia maliciously speculated about Bianca and Professor Adler's relationship. No wonder Mathis was so cold to her.

So she wasn't well-behaved after all.

Professor Adler saw at a glance that Cynthia's expression was off. She only thought about relying on men to get ahead, a complete failure.

This woman clearly had bad intentions. Mathis was obviously a business elite, so how could he not tell right from wrong?

"Bianca, why did you give up the credit for the project Stellaride partnered with Progenix on?"

Even though Bianca had graduated with her Ph.D. years ago, she was still intimidated by this strict professor, her voice trembling slightly. "Professor, someone offered me a price to give up the credit, four times our team's bonus."
