Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 77 by Ansel Bick

Cynthia personally showed up at Dawnstar Capital. Everyone in the company knew she was the CEO's girlfriend.

They all treated her with absolute reverence.

Mathis had previously given her a keycard for his private executive elevator.

She swiped it and went straight up. She had free rein over the entire Dawnstar building.

Cynthia felt a deep sense of pride in this. Bianca had never even stepped foot inside Dawnstar's headquarters. She meant absolutely nothing to Mathis.

Unlike her, who could freely come and go from his office as she pleased.

Mathis was in the middle of working. Seeing her arrive, a smile softened his usually harsh features.

"What brings you here?"

Cynthia threw herself into his arms and began to cry softly.

Mathis gently rubbed her back, asking softly, "Who upset you?"

"Bianca," she sobbed, looking up at him with utter helplessness. "Don't let her come back to Kingsbridge City. Since she's already left, let her stay far away.

"She's always calling me a homewrecker, but she's the real third party who ruined our relationship! If you hadn't married her back then, Lamont wouldn't have become a child born out of wedlock. I'm the one who actually gave you a child."

Mathis's hand stiffened slightly, but he recovered a few seconds later. "Alright," he said gently. "She won't come back."

Cynthia stayed in his office until his lunch break, ate with him, and then headed back to Aeterna Dynamics.

She called Neville Quinn. "Dad, get someone to keep an eye on Stellaride's board of directors. If Mathis reaches out to them, let me know."

Neville sounded surprised. "You don't trust Mathis?"

"It's not that I don't trust him. It's just that I feel uneasy. After all, he still hasn't finalized the divorce."

But Neville disagreed. "Men always wait for the right excuse to get a divorce. No matter how capable Bianca is, she's just a stepping stone for you. Mathis is only keeping her around so she can do the heavy lifting for you when the time is right."

He purposely didn't mention that Mathis's interference had been neutralized by Cynthia. He didn't want to add to Bianca's stress.

"Thanks for having my back, Cillian!"

Bianca led the tech team in solving the client issues Mia had submitted, then handed the solutions back to Mia to negotiate the deals.

As for Fiyato, Elias assured her he could handle it, so Bianca stayed out of it.

Hugo spent the entire morning waiting for the board of directors to drop the hammer, but nothing happened. He finally started to realize how serious the situation was.

Bianca's backing really was no joke.

But he had backed himself into a corner. He called Mathis. "Mr. Jagger, why hasn't the board convened to fire Bianca?"

Mathis had promised Cynthia he wouldn't intervene personally, but he hadn't promised he wouldn't let others do it.

His cold voice came through the line: "Your Mr. Calder pacified them. I'll send you the contact information for all the board members. You'll have to convince them one by one yourself."
