Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 78 by Ansel Bick
"What?"
Hugo was completely dumbfounded. Wasn't Mathis supposed to handle this himself? Hugo didn't have any personal pull with the board of directors.
But with no other options, he had to bite the bullet and try. Otherwise, the furious mob of fired sales reps was going to tear him apart.
In the middle of the chaos, Bianca received a call from Simon Jennings. "I've temporarily moved your grandmother to a property under my sister's name. I'll drop by regularly to check on her."
Bianca panicked. "What happened?"
"Mathis turned the whole city upside down looking for her," Simon explained. "My place was the only one he missed, but now they're snooping around here too. Don't worry, though. I won't let him find her, and my sister agreed to help."
Bianca was shocked. "Why would she be willing to help?"
"She's a massive fan of yours," Simon chuckled. "She just got into Kingsbridge University to pursue her master's. She said your photo has been on the outstanding alumni wall for years, and your legend still lives on campus."
Bianca couldn't help but laugh. "Please thank her for her support. I'll definitely repay the favor when I get the chance."
"She already demanded your contact info," Simon laughed. "Get ready, because she's probably going to bother you a lot."
Bianca didn't mind at all. "That's fine. I'll reach out to her when I have a free moment."
Shortly after, Bianca accepted Hailey Jennings' friend request, and Hailey enthusiastically initiated a video call right away.
Hailey's excited voice rang out. "Oh my gosh, Bianca! I finally get to meet you in person."
Bianca instantly felt a fondness for the younger girl—she was miles better than Mathis's entitled little sister.
Hailey was stunning, with delicate features set on a petite face. Her complexion wasn't overly porcelain, but she possessed a refined, intellectual elegance.
"Hi, Hailey."
Hailey didn't waste time on idle chatter; she immediately started discussing her recent academic pursuits.
As a tech company, Stellaride's core strength lay in its immense R&D capabilities. No single salesperson could easily steal a client away.
Hugo had completely failed to convince the board to move against Bianca, and she had already stabilized the situation.
The news made its way back to Mathis in Kingsbridge City. When Quincy walked in to deliver the report, Mathis's expression was murderously dark.
Mathis lit a cigarette, took a drag, and let the smoke obscure his perfectly sculpted face. Quincy felt like he was standing in the dead calm before a hurricane.
The boss used to never smoke, but lately, he was lighting up for no reason at all.
Bianca—the woman he claimed to despise—was gone, and his partnership with the Quinn family was stronger than ever.
Mathis suddenly broke the silence. "Is Bianca truly that exceptional, or is Hugo Yates just completely useless?"
"Bianca possesses technical skills that utterly crush the competition," Quincy replied objectively, "and Cillian Calder trusts her completely. Hugo actually caused quite a bit of chaos—he nearly wiped out the entire Stellaride branch."
