Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 86 by Ansel Bick
Simon held back a laugh. "He really is acting like it. If I get the chance, I'll tell him to leave you alone."
"Thanks, Dr. Jennings!" Bianca still wasn't used to calling him by his first name.
Simon knew they hadn't interacted much, so he didn't push her on it.
After venting to Simon, Bianca felt a bit better. It seemed she really needed to curse people out; otherwise, she would just suffocate holding it all in.
When it came to cursing people out, she thought of Xanthe. Suddenly, she really missed her cooking.
It was all because of that damn Mathis, forcing her to hide so far away.
When she arrived downstairs at Fiyato, Mia noticed Bianca's pale face and asked with concern, "Are you feeling unwell?"
Bianca shook her head. "I'm fine. Last night, the mistress pissed me off. But I blocked that bastard's number, and now I feel much better."
Mia linked arms with her and suggested, "Why don't you just drop a hundred grand and let me hire three top-tier beauties to seduce your husband? That'll piss the mistress off for sure."
Bianca didn't want to provoke Mathis any further and shook her head in refusal.
"He's incredibly petty and very protective of his mistress. Plus, he has eyes and ears everywhere. I haven't even been here long, and he already knows. I can't afford to mess with him."
Mia felt a twinge of sympathy. "You really have had a rough life."
Bianca had already accepted the unfortunate hand life had dealt her, but she refused to surrender to it.
"I might have bad luck, but since I'm in this world, I'm going to live a good life. So what if my love life is a disaster as long as my career is thriving? I'll just pour all my effort into climbing the corporate ladder."
Mia, who also came from an ordinary background, agreed wholeheartedly, "Exactly. We'll work hard together."
The tech expert and the gold-medal sales director made a formidable team. Bianca handled all the technical questions, while Mia took charge of market pricing and negotiations.
Jax's tense expression finally relaxed. "That's a relief."
Bianca said, "You flew over ten hours just to ask me that? You could have just called."
Jax slumped into the passenger seat. "Dealing with the company issues lately has been exhausting. I just wanted to come back and see you. Bianca, I'm useless. Even after three years of hard work, I still can't compete with Mathis. And I wasted the three million you gave me for nothing."
Bianca didn't think Jax was useless at all and quickly comforted him. "You started from scratch, while Mathis inherited a massive empire. Your starting points were completely different. There's no need to put yourself down. Besides, Mathis is the one attacking your company. I'm sorry, I'm the one dragging you down."
Jax would never blame her. "Silly girl. If it weren't for the three million you gave me back then, I wouldn't be where I am today. We don't need to keep score. I heard from Hector that your divorce will take another year to finalize. You've had it so rough, Bianca."
Bianca sighed softly. "Life rarely goes exactly as planned. I'm used to it. Luckily, my career is doing well right now. If you're short on cash, let me know. My mom's medical insurance reimbursement finally came through.
I also have some project bonuses from before. In short, I fully support your career. It's not just for you, but for Brett Holden too. He was so good to me. We're family."
