The Ultimate Litter: A Beast World System Tale novel Chapter 113

Chapter 113 The Snowmobile

Finished

Claire trudged forward for about 50 feet, stumbling and sinking with every step. The snow was thighdeep, making it almost impossible to move.

She took out the snowmobile from her storage space and struggled to climb onto it.

The snowmobile came with a helmet and windproof gloves. There was even a set of black leather jacket neatly folded on the seat.

The size fit Claire perfectly. The inside was lined with thick wool, and it felt really warm when she put it

on!

After putting on the jacket and gloves, she paused before putting on the helmet and looked back toward the underground cave one last time. No beastfolk were chasing after her.

She knew that had to be thanks to Eira!

Eira must have kept the rest of the clan in check.

I hope we meet again someday!

Claire put on the helmet. Her long hair spilled down her back, smooth and shiny.

She twisted the throttle, and the snowmobile roared to life, shooting forward across the snow.

Her hair whipped in the wind as she disappeared into the distance.

Not far away, in the forest, high up on a tree branch, Rufus caught a glimpse of the flying hair. He frowned, confused, and muttered, What the hell was that?

His eyesight was sharp. Even at night, he could see far into the distance.

But that thing was just too weird!

A beastfolk dressed all in black sat on a bizarre object that moved incredibly fast. He blinked, and it was gone!

He racked his brain and still couldn’t figure out what kind of beast could race over snow that smoothly.

Zane finished his workout and walked over, still covered in sweat, then sat down next to Rufus.

Noticing something was off, Zane asked, Did you see something?

Rufus hesitated. I don’t know. It was weird as hell.

Following the direction he pointed, Zane focused and looked, but he only caught a glimpse of a figure from behind before it vanished.

A wave of strong familiarity washed over Zane. He thought for a moment, then rose and took off after that fading silhouette.

Chapter 138 the Snowmobile

Behind him, Rufus shouted, Hey! Fleabag, where are you going? Wait for me!

Finished

The two of them reachedthe spot where the shadow had vanished. Rufus panted heavily, while Zane crouched down to study the tracks in the snow.

Strange. These aren’t animal footprints!

Zane didn’t miss any clues. He followed the trail of wheel marks back and finally found footprints where the tracks ended.

Small footprints, about the size of a palm. Short strides. Clearly a female!

This has to be Claire’s footprints!

Zane stood up, looking at the messy trail. You could tell the person who made it had been in a panic.

Rufus shouted excitedly, Really? Don’t get it wrong! This place is miles away from where Claire was taken. You’re sure those are her footprints?

Zane nodded firmly.

I’m sure.

He had spent countless nights massaging Claire’s ankles after she fell asleep. Her feet were incredibly soft; even a short walk would leave her with painful blisters.

No one knew her body better than he did!

They followed the footprints all the way until they saw the entrance to an underground cave, faint firelight glowing from inside. Both of them froze.

They looked at each other. A moment later, one of them went into the cave, while the other followed the trail again and kept tracking her.

Claire had ridden a motorcycle before, but only on solid roads. This was her first time riding on soft snow.

At first, she was a little clumsy, but she quickly got the hang of it and even started showing off a bit.

With a clean drift, the snowmobile slid and came to a smooth stop.

Claire planted one foot on the ground and looked around through her helmet.

She had no sense of direction and wasn’t familiar with this area. She wasbasically just following her instincts, wandering around like a lost fly.

Luckily, it was the dead of winter. The beastfolk all stayed deep inside their caves. No one heard the roar of the snowmobile.

Even if they had, they probably would have brushed it off as thunder or the growl of some mountain

beast.
