Compared to Davy, Rufus understood her perfectly.

More than ten tall beastfolk in partial animal form guarded the area carefully. Occasionally, they barked at the people in the middle to move faster.

Inside the group were nine female beastfolk. Some were older, while others has only recently become adults.

But they all had one thing in common. Every single one of them had two beast marks on their faces

The females looked exhausted. Their hands were tied with strange dark-purple vines. The surface of the vines had patterns that looked like snake scales, shining faintly in the sunlight.

One of the women walking near the back glanced at the tall leopard beastfolk beside her and suddenly leaned against him on purpose.
