The older pups finished theirs in just a few bites and immediately began chasing each other across the ground.

With a thought, Claire floated two Amethyst Berries and eight stalks of Mossherb in front of them.

Every pup received one except Scarlet and Zane Eleven.

Scarlet stared at the empty spot in front of her. Then she looked at the glowing little herb in front of Zane Six. She felt hurt.

“Mom, why didn’t I get one? I want the little grass and the berries too.”

Zane Eleven didn’t get anything either, but he couldn’t have cared less. He happily fluttered around on his tiny wings, chasing his own tail.

Claire’s voice echoed through the storage space.

As she spoke, two bright red fruits that looked like they were glowing with flames floated over to Scarlet and Zane Eleven.
