Chapter 11 Tables Turned
The remaining matters didn’t require Scarlett’s involvement. She and Jordan replaced Zayden and Brianna, and Elliot finalized everything with Cedric swiftly.
All that remained was for Elliot to return, terminate the previous contracts, and then sign with Joyner Entertainment Group.
Cedric was overjoyed. “Scarlett, you can start training with the production team in a few days.”
Scarlett replied, “There’s no rush. Have Elliot move my scenes to a later slot. My face will be fully healed by then.
“As for training, he can send me the materials. I’ll work on them at home.
“I’ll be filming a variety show soon, and once summer ends, I’ll be back in school.”
“Alright.”
Elliot saw no issue with that. Actors usually joined early mainly for training; physique, posture, acting fundamentals, and some combat choreography.
Scarlett’s sword performance alone meant she barely needed martial arts training. The focus would be posture, physicality, and acting.
Truthfully, he already thought she was flawless.
Earlier, she had delivered exactly the presence he envisioned…
She was a resolute woman forged of steel.
Once the arrangements were complete, servers began bringing dishes one by one. They were the hotel’s specialties, visually stunning and rich in flavor.
Scarlett didn’t restrain herself. Between daily training and studying, her energy consumption was massive, so she ate heartily.
Everyone else had finished, but she continued.
They watched her empty her fourth plate of pasta.
Maggie grew restless, wanting to say something but holding back.
Cedric finally spoke up, “S–Scarlett, stop eating.”
He was worried she’d overdo it. What if she gained weight before filming began?
Scarlett replied, “It’s fine. I burn it off.”
She truly did.
After finishing a fifth plate of pasta, she finally put down her fork.
Cedric still looked uneasy. “Starting tomorrow, report your weight to me daily.”
He was genuinely stressing.
After dinner, everyone went their separate ways.
Elliot left first, rushing off with the scar–removal ointment Scarlett had given him.
He couldn’t wait for his wife to try it.
Cedric was in high spirits, already calling the PR department.
Scarlett, Maggie, and Jordan followed behind.
At the exit, Jordan flushed and said to Scarlett, “Thank you.”
“Don’t.”
This opportunity was always meant to be yours…
It just arrived ahead of schedule.
The comment sections exploded with insults, calling Zayden despicable for pushing Scarlett aside so his girlfriend could step in, trashing a woman’s reputation for selfish gain.
Zayden’s agency went into full–blown crisis mode. The PR team had no idea how to contain it.
