Chapter 257 Proving the Truth
Ronald just labelled her a cheater and announced it to the whole school.
Scarlett’s words made Ronald furious.
“You–how can you talk like that?!” he snapped.
Scarlett looked at him calmly. “Do you have any proof that I knew the test questions in advance? You’re accusing me of cheating without any evidence. The exam papers were locked inside the school, and there are security cameras everywhere. On the day the questions were written, I wasn’t even on campus. I don’t even have the contact information of the six teachers who made the exam. So how could I leak the questions?”
Ronald’s face turned bright red. He glared at Scarlett.
He wanted to say it was because she had cheated before.
But another school leader quickly stopped him and looked at Scarlett instead.
“Scarlett,” the man said. “Your score this time is far too good compared to your past grades. For that reason, we can’t decide yet whether this result should count.”
He paused before continuing. “After discussing with the teachers and school administration, we’ve decided to prepare a new set of tests tomorrow. There will be six subjects and six papers. Of course, the test length will be cut in half. Several of us will supervise the exam personally.
“If you take the test again and still score very well, then your current score will be accepted. Do you have any objections to this decision?”
Scarlett glanced at him.
She gave a small, cold laugh. “Why should I retake the test? If you think I cheated or saw the questions beforehand, then you should prove it. It shouldn’t be my job to retake the exam.”
Lulu stood to the side with sweat on her forehead. She watched her student argue with several school administrators at once.
This girl really wasn’t afraid of anyone.
Thinking about it now, the way Scarlett spoke to her during the exam had actually been pretty polite.
Just look at how she talked back to the administrators.
As expected, they didn’t look happy.
One of them opened his mouth to speak again.
But Scarlett suddenly nodded. “Fine. I’ll take the test again tomorrow.”
However, after the retest, she had no plan to stay at this school.

Chapter 257 Proving the Truth
She would only take it to prove something to them.
Her score was real.

If she transferred right now without retaking the exam, people would think she was running away. They would believe even more that her score was fake.
Scarlett had no intention of hiding like that.
Even if she transferred schools, she would do it in a way that made these administrators regret their decision.
That evening, when Scarlett returned to the villa, she received a message from Norman.
Scarlett, I saw the trending news online about your exam. What is your school planning to do about it?”
Norman was a professor of architecture at Jyncrest University.
Earlier, Scarlett had restored an old wooden tower in Brookriver. After hearing about it, Norman had raveled there to see the work himself.
At first, he didn’t believe such a young girl could repair a historic structure. That misunderstanding had caused some awkward moments.
But after seeing Scarlett’s woodcarving skills and her restoration plan, he realized he had been wrong. He :ven apologized to her.
since then, he had grown very fond of her talent.
He had once offered Scarlett a direct admission spot at Jyncrest University, but Scarlett had refused.
Now Norman finally understood why.
Look at this situation. She had scored 1590 points, but many people online still didn’t believe her.
Clearly, the girl wanted to prove herself with her own results.
With scores like that, becoming a top SAT scorer in the future would be easy.
Norman had also added Scarlett as a friend online.
Over the past month, the old professor often chatted with her about architecture. Sometimes he asked about restoring historic buildings. Scarlett would send him detailed repair plans.
Her trouble gave Norman some new thoughts.
After reading his message, Scarlett replied.
“Norman, you saw the news too? My school doesn’t believe I could score this high. They’re questioning whether I cheated. The administrators want me to retake the test tomorrow, and they’ll supervise it themselves. Only if my score is still good will they accept the result.”
Norman frowned when he read that.

Wasn’t this just bullying? Who treated their student like this?
He quickly replied. “Scarlett, what do you plan to do? Will you retake the test? If you don’t want to, I can introduce you to another school. You could transfer.
“The high school isn’t the best one in Brookriver, but it has a favorable environment and a decent college acceptance rate. I know the principal there. If I call him, you could transfer tomorrow.”
Scarlett knew Norman was worried about her. He had probably guessed long ago that studying at Brookriver High would lead to problems like this.
Honestly, she had expected it too.
After she read the trending news today, Norman had immediately wanted to help her transfer.
A faint smile appeared on Scarlett’s face.
“Thank you, Norman. I do plan to transfer schools. But I’ll do it after the retest tomorrow.”
Norman was pleased.
And he understood exactly why Scarlett wanted to take that test before leaving.
