“Money is one thing, but seeing the kids suffer is the worst part. They’re always sick.”

“Yeah, seriously.”

Scarlett said, “Howell, your grandson is Sunny, right? He’s five this year? When I went to the city back then, he was just born.”

“Yes, five years old,” Howell Stephenson said, smiling so hard his face wrinkled up. “But that little guy is always sick. We’ve been running to the hospital every month lately.”

“It’s not just him, my kid, too. Why do kids get sick so easily these days?”

“What can we do? The environment keeps getting worse. Crops, fish, everything’s full of chemicals and additives. Food isn’t safe anymore. Living here is better, we can grow our own vegetables.”

“And when kids get sick, hospitals just give antibiotics. They lose their natural immunity.”

Scarlett suddenly said, “Howell, actually, my dad also learned my grandpa’s medical skills. He even has a license for traditional medicine. Why don’t you bring Sunny over for a checkup? Maybe he can help get his health back on track.”

Howell froze for a second. “You mean Hendrix, the oldest son of the Zellers?”

Hendrix was the oldest son of the Zellers.
