Alice finally stopped talking.
Scarlett didn’t care about Alice’s attitude.

This was Hendrix’s first time treating a patient. It was normal for people to doubt his skills.
That’s just how people are.
As long as Sunny got better, Hendrix’s reputation would naturally spread.
After taking the money, Scarlett also handed the prescription to Howell.
“This is the prescription. If you’re worried, you can take it to the herbal medicine shop in town. and have them look at it.”
Howell did have some worries, but he didn’t plan to show the prescription to anyone in town.
He trusted his old friend’s granddaughter.
He didn’t believe the messy rumors online either. This was a girl he’d watched grow up–there was no way she was like what people said online.
But Sunny’s mom, Ella Stephenson, still couldn’t stop worrying.
She took the prescription to the herbal medicine shop in town to ask about it.
Southyra had a large herbal medicine shop.
They mostly sold herbs and didn’t really treat patients.
There was a traditional doctor there, but he was very young–still learning.
Ella showed him the prescription.
Even though the young doctor wasn’t very experienced, he could tell the prescription was for weak digestion.
The dosage was light, and it was completely safe for a five–year–old.
Only then did Ella feel relieved.
After they got home and finished dinner, she gave Sunny one herbal tablet.
It was only about the size of a pinky fingernail and went down easily with water.

Sunny had been coughing during the day, but after taking the medicine and falling asleep that night, he didn’t cough even once.
Whenever Sunny started coughing during the day, it always got worse at night after he fell asleep. The next day, they usually had to take him to the hospital for shots and medicine.
But the next day, Sunny didn’t cough at all.
The Stephensons were overjoyed. Alice felt guilty. “I didn’t expect Hendrix’s medical skills to be this good. I shouldn’t have said those things in front of Scarlett yesterday. Ugh.”
Howell laughed. “See? Everyone knew Patrick was a genius. Since Hendrix inherited his skills, there’s no way he’d be bad. If you want to apologize, grab some of our fresh eggs and give them to Scarlett.”
“Okay.”
After Scarlett got home that night, neither Hendrix nor Rory questioned her medical skills.
She’d loved reading the traditional medicine books and prescriptions Patrick left behind when she was little.
They thought she had just learned it on her own.
They were more curious about why she was so strong.
Scarlett already had an explanation ready. “I found a boxing manual in Grandpa’s books–the one I taught Rory today. After I went to the city, I practiced it secretly every day. Over time, I just got stronger and stronger.”
Of course, that wasn’t true.
The boxing and everything else were things she had learned in another world.
But Hendrix and Rory believed her.
Scarlett also suggested that Hendrix should start practicing, saying the moves didn’t just make you stronger but were also good for overall health.
Hendrix was happy to try.
While they were having dinner, Scarlett shared her thoughts with him.
“Dad, I think your medical skills are pretty good. Maybe you could take over Grandpa’s clinic.

Do you want to give it a try?”
:.
Hendrix hesitated. “I can only handle simple illnesses…”

He felt fine treating common problems, but if it was something serious or complicated, he knew he wouldn’t be able to handle it.
Scarlett spoke up right away, “Dad, we can take it slow. Traditional medicine is dying out anyway. We can start with common cases first.
“You can learn as you go. Grandpa’s medical books are still here, and so are the books on needle therapy. You can slowly learn needle therapy, too. Every great doctor had to start somewhere and build up their experience, right?”
Actually, Hendrix wasn’t very good at acupuncture yet.
Needle therapy is very important in traditional medicine.
It helps open, move, and balance the body’s energy.
Right now, Hendrix’s skills were honestly just average.
He could handle common colds and flu.
And chronic issues like sinus problems, sore throat, bronchitis, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.
With a few ancient prescriptions and a bit of spiritual essence, those were actually easy to
