The Ultimate Reborn Heiress (Scarlett) novel Chapter 8

Chapter 8 I’ll Show You Evidence

Scarlett didn’t care what anyone thought.

She set her phone aside and got to work making her scar–removal cream.

She’d bought 44 kinds of herbs, crushed them into powder, and boiled them in a pot in a strict sequence, watching the ratios and temperature closely. She even mixed in a bit of spiritual essence.

After an hour, the cream was finally finished.

Even though the herbs came in all kinds of colors, the final product was pure white and smelled lightly pleasant.

She cleansed her face and applied the cream to her wounds, also spreading it over her arms and other injuries.

That tiny jar of cream cost her over 1,000 dollars just in ingredients.

After dinner, Scarlett spent two hours studying and another two hours cultivating, guiding the faint spiritual energy along her meridians to slowly unblock them.

For the next two days, she went nowhere, staying home to study and cultivate, still taking time each day to visit Daphne.

The news about her ruined face and her public fight with Zayden quickly went viral. Screenshots of her two posts appeared all over social media and short–video platforms.

Her old scandals were dug up again and also trended intermittently.

Her attention online had reached unprecedented levels.

The entire internet was criticizing her.

Everyone waited to see what she’d do next, expecting something even more extreme. Some people even started placing bets.

[What do you think Scarlett will do next?]

[She’s acting like a lunatic now. Trash–talking Zayden online isn’t working. I bet next she’s going to try to attack him in person!]

[I feel the same way.]

[Place your bets. Let’s see when she’ll make her move!]

Some users even tagged Brookriver City’s cyber police and relevant authorities.

[Brookriver PD, can you handle Scarlett? She’s clearly losing it online. She might hurt someone.]

[Exactly. Don’t wait until something bad happens.]

[And Zayden’s company–please don’t assign him work right now. Let him rest for a bit.]

[He won’t. Isn’t he filming Mr. Lloyd’s movie? The same one Scarlett auditioned for?]

Some even tagged the director, Elliot Lloyd.

[ZayZay: Mr. Lloyd, can you add extra staff to protect Zayden on set? I’m really worried Scarlett might show up and attack him.]

But neither the authorities nor Elliot said anything.

The situation continued to spiral.

At Bailey Residence, Leona was also keeping an eye on Scarlett.

Seeing Scarlett go after Zayden online, she assumed Scarlett had completely given up after her face was ruined and after the mess with Raymond and Hazel. She figured Scarlett no longer cared about anything.

Leona didn’t suspect anything else.

She and her daughter had been trying to contact Scarlett over the past two days, but they couldn’t reach her.

Scarlett had blocked all their contacts, Matthew was furious and decided to cool off and ignore her for now.

But Leona couldn’t do that.

She still hadn’t gotten the crystal bead from Scarlett.

If something went wrong…

Hazel was also worried. “Mom, what should we do? We can’t reach Scarlett. Who knows where she went? Raymond said she also blocked him.

“And does that person even know what the crystal bead really is? Is it some expensive antique?”

She muttered, “We’re not short on money anyway…”

Leona paused before answering.

“It’s not an antique. I don’t know exactly what it’s used for. We’ll find out once we have it. But it’s important. No matter what, Scarlett has to hand it over willingly.”

Hazel bit her lip. “Why can’t we just take it?”

“That’s why I said the crystal bead is special–it’s definitely a rare treasure. Be patient. We’ve waited five years. A few more days won’t matter. But Scarlett hiding like this won’t do. We have to pressure her a bit.”

Leona told her daughter not to worry and to keep trying to reach Scarlett, acting caring and concerned.

Then, she went into the study and made a phone call.
