Chapter 411
Leda sighed. “You two have been fighting about getting a divorce. Since he specifically asked, there’s really no need for us to bring it up. As for why I’m telling you this now… I honestly don’t think it’s a big deal. Knowing or not knowing won’t change your decision.”
Nathalie nodded slowly. “Yeah.”
He was fundamentally a good person-there was no denying that. But he couldn’t reserve that goodness solely for her, and that was something she simply couldn’t tolerate.
So, Leda was right; it really wouldn’t change her choice.
“I’ll call someone over,” Nathalie said.
She had checked his temperature, and he was burning up. It was too dangerous to let it go
She pulled out her phone and dialed Aaron’s number.
“Hello, Ma’am,” Aaron answered.
Nathalie spoke flatly, “Lance is unconscious with a fever at The Observatory. Send someone to take him to the hospital.”
“Understood. I’ll be right there,” Aaron replied.
About ten minutes later, a knock echoed at the door.
Aaron strode in with several bodyguards. They carefully lifted Lance and headed outside.
Nathalie stood by the door, watching them leave, her beautiful brows furrowing slightly.
Seeing her hesitation, Aaron paused. “Ma’am, you should really come with us.”
Nathalie shook her head. “I’m not going.”
Aaron looked conflicted. “I don’t know what kind of arrangement you and the Boss have right now, but if he wakes up and finds you aren’t there, he might take his anger out on you…”
Nathalie went silent.
He truly was the executive assistant who had been by Lance’s side for years; he knew exactly how unreasonable the man could be.
If Lance woke up and threw a fit, he might blurt out everything she had been through recently. How would Leda handle that kind of shock?
Nathalie sighed inwardly. “Fine. I’ll go change.”
Aaron nodded, visibly relieved. “Great.”
Chapter 411
As long as the Boss woke up and saw his wife by his side, he would definitely be happy
Nathalie went back to let Leda know.
Leda nodded. “Go on, don’t worry about me. I have the girls here.”
Opal and Karan lived at the house specifically to help care for Leda, so she was in good
hands.
Nathalie changed her clothes and followed them to the hospital.
The doctor examined Lance and found that his wounds were showing signs of severe inflammation, which had triggered the high fever and loss of consciousness. He needed strict observation.
Nathalie pressed her lips together. The wounds had reopened, causing the infection.
He really didn’t care about his own body at all.
“Ms. Blair?”
A familiar voice rang out nearby.
Nathalie turned to see Sophia walking toward her, a bright smile on her face and a shopping bag in her hand.
“Ms. Blair, it really is you!”
Sophia looked thrilled to run into her.
“What are you doing here?” Nathalie asked.
“I’m here visiting a friend,” Sophia explained. “What about you? Are you feeling unwell?”
Nathalie shook her head. “No, I’m just visiting a friend too.”
