Chapter 413
Nathalie paused for a moment before replying, “I’m putting the studio on hold for now
Sophia looked taken aback. “Oh? Why?”
“I have some other matters to deal with. Once everything is sorted out, I’ll reconsider opening it,” Nathalie explained.
Sophia bit her lower lip, her eyes shifting nervously. “Then… I’ll find another job. I promise I’ work hard to pay you back!”
Nathalie offered a reassuring smile. “There’s no rush. Focus on finishing your degree first.”
But Sophia was stubbornly determined. “I’ll do well in school, and I’ll work hard to earn money too. You’ve been so good to me, Ms. Blair. I won’t let you down.”
The young girl possessed a quiet, fierce strength. Nathalie had no doubt she had a bright future ahead of her.
Sophia stood up. “I’ll go wash the fruit.”
Nathalie looked at her in surprise. “Don’t you need to go back to your friend?”
Sophia shook her head. “No, he’s already asleep.”
She paused before adding, “I’ll keep you company for a bit. It gets pretty boring sitting here all by yourself.”
“Alright.”
Nathalie really was bored, and having someone to chat with was a welcome distraction.
Sophia washed the fruit and even peeled an apple for her. Checking the time, she asked, “Are you planning to stay the night here?”
Nathalie took a bite of the apple and nodded. “Yeah, unless something changes.”
“Taking care of a patient is exhausting. Why don’t I help you?” Sophia offered.
“No need,” Nathalie declined gently. “I’m going to hire a professional caregiver.”
Hearing that, Sophia’s eyes flickered. She wrestled with the thought for a moment before speaking up. “I actually have experience taking care of patients. Instead of hiring a stranger, why don’t you let me do it? That way, I can start paying off my debt to you.”
Nathalie was mildly surprised. “Are you sure you can handle it?”
“Yes, absolutely!” Sophia nodded firmly. “My mother is paralyzed, and I’ve been her primary
aretaker for years.”

Chapter 413
Sophia shook her head. “She’s fine. I made sure she was taken care of before I left the
house.”
Nathalie thought about it. “As long as it doesn’t interfere with your mother’s care, you can stay. You don’t need to be here all day-just three hours a shift. You can come whenever it fits your schedule.”
Sophia was thrilled. “Thank you so much, Ms. Blair!”
Nathalie smiled and shook her head. “You don’t need to be so formal. I’m older than you, so just call me Nathalie.”
Sophia looked a little shy. “Nathalie.”
“Much better,” Nathalie smiled warmly.
Sophia turned and walked over to the hospital bed. Noticing Lance was sweating profusely she said, “I’ll get some water and wipe him down. He’s sweating a lot.”
She certainly adapted to her new role quickly.
Nathalie nodded. “Okay.”
