Chapter 463
Bagot opened his mouth to fire back, but catching sight of the frail woman resting in the hospital bed, he thought better of it and stayed quiet.
Damaris shot him one last warning glare before leaning in close to Nathalie. “How did you manage to get the antidote?” she whispered. “Dic you actually track Felice down?”
Nathalie nodded. “I found her. And I made sure she got a taste of her ow medicine-l poisoned her too.”
Damaris’s eyes widened in shock before she flashed a massive humbs-up. “Hell yes! Good for you!” She practically vibrated with excitement. “You should have dealt with that shameless bitch ages ago. She’s been dancing on your last nerve forever. Anyone else would’ve snapped way sooner. If it were me, I would have made her life an absolute living hell.”
‘It’s already all over the social circles,” Bagot chimed in lazily. “The Blair Family cut all ties with her. She goes by Felice James now.”
Damaris threw him a look of sheer annoyance. “Why do you always have to butt in? I’m talking to Nathalie. Who asked you?”
Bagot stared back, his gaze unreadable. “I was just filling you in on the facts. Clearly, my generosity is wasted on you.”
‘I don’t need your generosity!” Damaris snapped. Just being around him made her blood boil. Every conversation turned into a shouting match People like them were simply toxic together. It was enough to give someone a stress ulcer
Bagot let out a harsh laugh. “You really are impossible to deal with.” Infuriated, he stood up and stormed out of the room
“Finally, he’s gone,” Damaris muttered, visibly relaxing.
Chapter 463
Nathalie watched the exchange, blinking in confusion. “Why do I feel lik you’ve been increasingly hostile toward him lately? Did something happen that I missed?”
“It’s all because I ran into him at the hospital the other day. He kept pestering me, demanding to know why I was there. When I refused to te him, he actually showed up at my apartment building to corner me, threatening to tattle to my parents! Seriously, why is he so annoying? What I do is none of his business!” Damaris vented, genuinely believing the man was a total lunatic.
Nathalie, however, sensed an undercurrent in the story. She hesitated fo a moment before asking, “Do you think he might have feelings for you?”
‘Feelings for me?!” Damaris’s eyes practically bugged out of her head. ‘Please tell me you’re joking. That is not funny!”
From the moment they first met, she had despised him. He was a sleazy unapologetic playboy. Back in college, he went through girlfriends faster than he changed clothes. He was a complete sleazebag! And after all the horrible things Lance had done, her opinion of Bagot had only tanked further. After all, birds of a feather flock together. It was safer to just stay as far away from guys like that as possible.
Nathalie couldn’t help but smile slightly. “You never know.”
Damaris leaned her head on Nathalie’s shoulder. “Stop trying to scare me I wouldn’t touch him with a ten-foot pole.” Eager to drop the dreadful topic, she shifted the conversation. She stayed in the room for another two hours before finally heading out.
By the time Damaris left the hospital, the sky had already darkened She walked toward her compact pink car, only to jump when a horn blared directly behind her. Turning around, she saw Bagot sitting behind the wheel of a blazing red Ferrari, flashing her a cocky smirk
