Chapter 508

Felice was upstairs, playing a quiet game with Jasper.

Having taken a partial dose of the antidote, the boy was awake, but he was incredibly weak. His little face was ghostly pale, and he had zero energy, resting limply against Felice’s chest.

Jasper felt awful. He was nauseous and his head pounded, but he refused to say a word. He knew if he complained, his uncle would drag him back to the hospital, and he wouldn’t get to see his mom anymore.

He had finally gotten her back.

When the butler came up and announced that Lance wanted to see her, Jasper immediately grabbed Felice’s hand. He looked up at the butler with terrified eyes. “Can I go too?”

The butler said gently, “Young master, you should rest if you’re not feeling well. Mrs. Adams will stay right here with you.”

Jasper’s eyes lit up. “Really?”

He had been terrified that his uncle was here to kick his mom out again.

The butler nodded. “Yes, of course. There’s nothing to worry about.”

Relieved, Jasper slowly let go of her hand.

Felice’s heart hammered in her chest, but looking at Jasper’s pale face gave her a surge of confidence.

Lance couldn’t touch her until he had the full antidote. She had nothing to be afraid of.

She stood up and followed the butler downstairs.

In the living room, Lance wasn’t alone. Bagot was there, along with a woman she didn’t recognize.

She looked vaguely familiar, but Felice couldn’t place her.

Felice glared at Lance defensively. “What do you want?”

“Sit down,” Lance ordered flatly.

Her guard up, Felice remained standing. “What is this about?”

“Ha… I have never met a woman as disgustingly vicious as you. Where do you get the nerve to act so self-righteous?” Bagot sneered, unable to hold back his disgust.

He used to respect Jackson, which meant he had always treated Felice with respect too. Even when things went south and Felice played the victim, Bagot had occasionally blamed Nathalie for supposedly picking

on her.

But looking at her now, he realized she was nothing but a snake!

She had poisoned her own flesh and blood just to force her way back into his life.

What kind of mother did that?

Bagot felt sick knowing he had ever felt sorry for her.

Tears immediately spilled down Felice’s cheeks as she played the victim perfectly. “What else was I supposed to do? You backed me into a corner! I just wanted to be with my son. You forced me to do this!”

“You make me sick.”

Bagot turned his head in disgust. He refused to waste another breath on

her.

Felice wiped her tears, sobbing softly, and locked eyes with Lance. “If you brought me down here just to humiliate me, fine. I don’t care anymore. As long as I get to stay with my son, nothing else matters!”

Snap!

A sharp snap of fingers echoed through the room.
