Chapter 509
Chapter 509
Octavia stood in front of Felice, seamlessly guiding her into a deep hypnotic trance and easing her down onto the couch.
Lance and Bagot watched in total silence..
Bagot found it mind-blowing. She didn’t even need a controlled environment to put someone under?
That was dangerously impressive.
If his sister ever decided to hypnotize him when he wasn’t paying attention, she could make him spit out his bank PINs or sign away his life. How was he supposed to defend against that?
Felice was completely under. Her eyes were glazed over, and she answered every question Octavia asked without hesitation.
Within minutes, she confessed the truth about the poison.
“My grandma gave it to me. I don’t know how it’s made.”
Her voice was slow and monotone.
Lance’s brow furrowed, and he shot a look at Octavia.
Octavia pressed further. “Where did your grandma get the poison?”

“I don’t know. She wouldn’t tell me.”
Felice repeated “I don’t know” several times. Since she consistently gave the same answer under hypnosis, it meant she genuinely had no idea.
Octavia snapped her fingers again. Felice’s eyes fluttered shut, and she fell into a deep sleep.
“She won’t remember being hypnotized. You have nothing to worry Octavia said.
Lance nodded and turned toward the front door.

Chapter 509
As they walked out together, Octavia casually mentioned, “Make sure the payment hits my account.”
Lance said, “There are two more people I need you to deal with. Extract as much intel from them as you can.”
Octavia let out a yawn. “That’s going to cost extra.”
“Done.”
Surprised by how quickly he agreed, Octavia cast him a curious look. “Who are they? What’s this about?”
Lance replied, “It’s about my wife.”
Octavia smirked. She turned to Bagot and crooked a finger at him. “Come here, my sweet baby brother. Tell me exactly what I missed while I was gone. I’m dying to know.”
Bagot nodded eagerly. But then he leaned in and asked, “Wait, if I refuse to tell you, are you just going to hypnotize me and make me spill?”
“Hypnotize you?” Octavia scoffed. “In your dreams.”
She yawned again and rubbed her temples. “Do you think putting someone under is easy? It drains me. I need a ton of rest and recovery time after a session. If I don’t get enough sleep, things can go horribly wrong.”
She glared at Bagot. “So don’t worry. I’m not wasting my energy on your pathetic little secrets.”
Bagot: “…”
He was deeply offended, but only for a second. The instinctual fear of his big sister kept him silent.
Octavia pulled open the car door and slid into the passenger seat. “We’ll do the others tomorrow night. I’m exhausted.”
