Chapter 742
Chapter 742
“Keep taking it for a few days,” Elara suggested. “I think the results will be even better. Maybe you’ll be able to speak soon.’
A flicker of hope ignited in Nathalie’s heart. Living without her voice was excruciating. Even though she tried her best to adapt, the frustration
often felt unbearable.
Elara grabbed her hand. “Come on, let’s go do your nerve stimulation.”
Nathalie felt the endless vitality radiating from her, and a small smile naturally curved her lips.
Elara was like a little sun, constantly warming everyone around her.
Well, everyone except Lance.
Three days after Jasper was taken away, Carl stepped into Lumina Grand. The moment he walked in, the atmosphere in the living room turned heavy and suffocating. He cast a cold gaze around the room and
demanded, “Where is Lance?”
Elara replied, “He’s in the study.”
Carl headed straight for the study. Pushing the door open, he found Aaron giving a work report.
Aaron froze at the sight of him. “Chairman Adams…”
“Get out.”
Carl’s tone was icy, immediately dismissing him.
Aaron nodded. “Yes, sir.”
He turned and left the study, his nerves on edge. The Chairman was clearly looking for a fight.
The moment the study door clicked shut, Carl stared at the white bandages over Lance’s eyes. “This is your karma,” he sneered.
Lance’s grip on his pen tightened slightly, his voice completely devoid of emotion. “Did you come all this way just to hurl insults at me? Go ahead. Take your time. I’m listening”
He set the pen down, adopting the posture of an attentive student.
Carl scoffed heavily. “You promised to take good care of your brother’s child. Is this how you do it? The boy is ruined, and it is entirely your fault. How do you even have the nerve to keep breathing?”
Lance’s lips curled into a faint smirk. “If I weren’t breathing, who would you scream at whenever you missed my brother?”
“You!”
Carl’s face twisted with fury. He had spent the last few days by Jasper’s side, heartbroken, guilt-ridden, and boiling with rage
His voice grew even colder. “Where is Felice?
Lance replied flatly, “She’s no longer part of this family. She’s locked up in a psychiatric hospital.”
“Give me the address.”
A murderous rage flared in Carl’s eyes.
“What are you planning to do?” Lance asked.
“Kill that venomous woman!” Carl gritted his teeth. “She tortured my grandson. She doesn’t deserve to live.”
Lance remained unbothered. “And do you plan to spend the rest of your life in prison?”
“That is none of your concern. Just give me the address. Carl’s patience was wearing thin.
