The Wife He Dumped, The Queen She Returned As novel Chapter 155

Chloe had just located Yuri in the second-floor bedroom when, a split second later, a tremendous force violently slammed her against the wall.

Pain collided with a rush of sheer terror, and she fought back wildly.

"What are you doing?! Are you out of your damn mind?!"

Preston's grip was unbreakable. His bloodshot eyes bore into her, trembling with the effort of holding back a catastrophic explosion of rage.

"Chloe. Reed."

He practically ground her name out from the depths of his throat, his gaze freezing over with absolute, devastating disappointment.

"Why would you do this to me?"

In all the years she had known him, Chloe had never seen him look like this. Her chest seized, every instinct screaming that she was in profound danger.

"What are you talking about? I don't understand..."

Preston shoved his phone right into her face, his voice dark and terrifying. "When did you meet him?"

Chloe glanced down at the screen. A young man with short white hair was smiling at the camera.

And right next to him, a woman's hand was visible in the frame.

It took Chloe a long moment to realize that the hand was hers.

"What is going on? Can you make any sense at all?"

Crash!

Preston violently hurled the phone against the wall. It shattered into pieces, radiating a barely contained, violent hostility.

His voice was colder than the blizzard raging outside.

"Why him?"

"Why the hell did it have to be him?!"

Chloe had absolutely no idea why he was exploding like this. She tried to pull away, but her wrist was yanked backward, sending her crashing onto the bed.

A dizzying wave of vertigo hit her, immediately followed by the crushing weight of a hard, towering frame pressing her deep into the mattress, caging her entirely within his hold.

"Get off..."

Preston didn't give her a chance to speak. His freezing lips crushed against hers with predatory dominance. Their teeth collided, and the metallic taste of blood instantly bloomed in the back of her throat.

It couldn't even be called a kiss; it was pure punishment, absolute possession. He took control with overwhelming force, ruthlessly pillaging every ounce of her breath.

Chloe was entirely powerless against him. The physical pain and raw panic threatened to swallow her whole. Every desperate, fractured cry was shoved brutally back down her throat.

Preston seemed to have completely lost his mind, entirely blind to her struggling and pleading.

It wasn't until a single, freezing tear slipped from the corner of her eye and splashed onto the back of his hand that it registered.

He finally stopped.
