The Wife He Dumped, The Queen She Returned As novel Chapter 351

Jenna's face drained of color.

Chloe's voice was getting closer, and she would find them any second.

Perhaps still traumatized from the brutal beating she took yesterday, Jenna's legs moved on autopilot, scrambling into the car before she could even process the thought.

"Preston, I'm heading out first! It's almost time to board!"

She blew him a bubbly kiss and slammed the car door shut.

Chloe arrived just in time to witness the scene. She dashed over, only to watch the car speed off, taking Jenna with it.

"Watch out!"

The rushing traffic nearly clipped Chloe. Preston grabbed her arm and yanked her onto the curb.

"Chloe, what's wrong? If there's an issue, you can just tell me..."

Chloe, already seething, let out a cold scoff at his look of feigned concern.

"You're absolutely right. After all, you're an accomplice in this mess!"

Preston looked bewildered. "What are you talking about?"

He looked at Chloe, his voice softening. "Look, whatever it is, let's sit down and talk about it properly, okay?"

The next second, a resounding slap struck across his face.

There were plenty of people passing by.

Many were startled by the sharp crack.

When they realized who had just been slapped, they were left utterly speechless.

This included Lucian, who had followed from a distance and stopped dead in his tracks.

He stood rooted to the spot, shock quickly giving way to a stifled chuckle.

It seemed he had underestimated Ms. Reed. He clearly didn't need to worry about her being at a disadvantage.

Preston's long fingers brushed against his stinging cheek, a flash of disbelief in his dark eyes.
