The Wife He Dumped, The Queen She Returned As novel Chapter 391

Jenna shot Chloe a nasty glare before standing up to find Clara.

"Did you say Chloe is a Lifetime Platinum Status member? Does she fly internationally often?"

Clara forced a polite smile. "I apologize, but that is passenger confidentiality. I cannot disclose that information."

Jenna rolled her eyes. "Do you really think I can't find out just because you won't tell me?"

Furious, she pulled out her phone and snapped a photo of Chloe.

She immediately sent it to Preston.

[Preston, look who I ran into on my flight.]

[I don't understand why Chloe insists on targeting me even after I chose to leave...]

[The flight attendant said she holds Lifetime Platinum Status for international flights! Doesn't that mean she used to travel abroad all the time?]

Almost instantly, the screen showed "typing...".

It appeared and disappeared repeatedly.

Yet not a single word came through.

Ken stood off to the side, watching Preston's expression grow increasingly dark. Finally, he carefully asked, "Mr. Hayes, did something happen?"

Preston looked like he was about to crush the phone in his hand.

"Ken, buy a ticket for the next flight to the Republic of Veritas."

"Huh?" Ken froze. "But..."

Preston's gaze snapped to him. His eyes were bloodshot from exhaustion, faint dark circles resting beneath them. There was a dark, obsessive intensity radiating from him.

"But what? She ran away! What's the point of me waiting around here?"

Ken had known Preston for a long time.

This state of mind reminded him of the time Annelise Hayes had fallen into her coma and lingered near death.

Preston had been in the exact same terrifying state.

Ken lowered his head. "Understood, Mr. Hayes. I'm on it."

Just as he turned to leave, Preston suddenly called out to him again.

"Wait."

Over the past few weeks, Preston's jawline had sharpened significantly. When he wasn't smiling, the contours of his face were almost harsh.
