The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 151

Stefan stared at her. When she didn't get up after a long moment, he walked over and removed her mask.

Her face was a little pale. She bit her lip and managed a smile. "Mr. Fan, I'm fine."

He pushed up her sleeve, revealing a red, swollen wrist.

Before Winona could say another word, he bent down, scooped her into his arms, and carried her toward the lounge.

He gently placed her on the sofa, then retrieved a tube of ointment. Kneeling before her, he began to apply it to her wrist.

Winona looked down at him, a strange sense of familiarity washing over her.

"Mr. Fan, are you sure we haven't met before? Also, why don't you ever speak?"

He paused for a second before continuing to treat her injury.

It suddenly occurred to Winona that he might be unable to speak. She felt a pang of regret, worried her blunt question might have offended him.

She said nothing more.

After he finished applying the ointment, he stood up and left the lounge.

A little while later, the club owner came in. "Fan just told me you were injured. Are you all right?"

Winona flexed her wrist. It was a bit sore, but nothing serious. She shook her head. "I'm fine. I just need to rest a bit."

She looked around the luxurious VIP lounge. "Is this Mr. Fan's private lounge? I probably shouldn't be in here."

The owner smiled. "Fan said you can rest here as long as you need. If there's nothing else, I'll leave you to it."

"Okay."

Meanwhile, Stefan was in another lounge. He stripped off his mask and fencing uniform and stepped into the shower.

When he emerged, his phone was ringing. It was Hayes Yarwood.

"Sylvan told me you've been playing fencing instructor for Winona lately. The great Mr. Goddard has time for that? Are you trying to start some kind of teacher-student romance with her?"

Winona froze when she recognized the pianist as Ophelia Powell.

As much as she disliked Ophelia, she had to admit the woman was a gifted musician.

When the performance ended, the restaurant manager presented Ophelia with a bouquet of yellow roses and a torrent of praise.

Then, the manager addressed the patrons. "Our owner, Ms. Powell, not only graced us with a beautiful piece tonight but has also declared that all drinks are on the house for our customers this evening!"

Rhea's eyes widened. "So she's the owner of this restaurant? Talented and rich."

"She's the woman Stefan is involved with," Winona whispered to her.

"Oh," Rhea said, then sighed. "Of course. The rich only stick with the rich."

At the table next to them, a group of guests from the capital, clearly from elite circles, were gossiping about Ophelia.

"Speaking of which, Ophelia is quite something, isn't she? She has both of the Goddard brothers wrapped around her finger."
