The Wife He Forgot to Marry novel Chapter 192

Valor’s interest was piqued, and he turned his attention to Tallulah, who smiled and began detailing Locke Group’s previous R&D projects. Listening to her, Winona couldn't help but let a mocking smirk touch her lips. The nerve of that woman, parading around and taking credit for her past achievements.

Valor nodded along. He’d read the reports and knew that Locke Group was the undisputed king of pharmaceutical R&D in Riverton.

Jericho sipped his coffee, a knowing smile on his face. He’d discussed research with Tallulah before and had quickly discovered her abilities were mediocre at best. There was no way those groundbreaking results were her own work.

After a few minutes of conversation, Valor’s interest waned, and he abruptly cut the discussion short. The sudden shift in his attitude made Tallulah tense. Had he figured something out?

Noticing that Valor seemed unimpressed, Sylvan spoke up again. “Valor, Ms. Shipley is a very talented young woman. If you see any areas where she could improve, I’m sure she’d appreciate your guidance.” He assumed Valor, being a man who valued talent, would be willing to cultivate her.

Valor took a slow sip of his coffee and replied dismissively, “I’m a very busy man. I’m afraid I don’t have time to mentor Ms. Shipley.”

The stark contrast between his attitude toward her and his enthusiasm for Winona made Tallulah clench her fists under the table.

Sylvan’s face flushed with anger. “Valor, Ms. Shipley’s accomplishments speak for themselves. Don’t you think you’re being a bit unfair? As pioneers in our field, it’s our responsibility to mentor the next generation and cultivate new talent for the country.”
