The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 239

The assistant was just as confused. After asking around, they discovered that a massive wave of graduates had rushed over to interview with the Riverton Medical Research Institute.

"I'm going to see what's going on over there," Tallulah said, her voice tight with annoyance. "What kind of magic trick are they pulling to steal my candidates?"

She got up and marched over to the building where Sheldon's team was stationed.

When she saw Winona sitting among the institute's interviewers, she stopped dead in her tracks.

What was Winona doing here?

What right did she have to represent the institute as an interviewer?

Seeing that the crowd of graduates here was double the size of the one at Locke Group, Tallulah was consumed by jealousy and rage.

She noticed Sheldon sitting next to Winona and assumed the students were flocking here because of him. After all, Sheldon was quite famous in the R&D world.

Winona was clearly just riding his coattails. She was probably only sitting there because of Mr. Harper's recommendation—otherwise, why would Sheldon give her the time of day?

Watching Sheldon lean in to whisper something to Winona, Tallulah let out a cold sneer and pulled out her phone, snapping a few photos of their interaction.

If Yulen saw that Winona was flirting with other men in public, whatever feelings he still had for her would surely dry up.

Just as she was about to leave, she bumped into Sylvan and the Dean of the Pharmacy School.

Sylvan and the Dean were old friends, and he had come to catch up.

He greeted Tallulah with a nod. "Ms. Shipley, what brings you over to this side?"

Tallulah forced a smile. "I heard the institute's recruitment was going exceptionally well, so I came over to learn a thing or two."

Sylvan followed her gaze toward the interview panel and spotted Winona, his brow furrowing instantly.

Why was this Winona woman everywhere?

The Dean didn't know Winona, but he recognized Sheldon.

This was all Winona's fault. If she hadn't been there, their recruitment wouldn't have been such a disaster.

As she left the campus, she spotted Winona getting into Sheldon's car.

With a cold laugh, she snapped another photo of the two of them. She sent it to Yulen, along with the pictures of them whispering earlier.

Since Winona wanted to act so shamelessly, Tallulah was going to make sure she paid for it.

Nigel and Ivy had only been pulled in as temporary support for the interviews. Since they had their own work to catch up on, they headed back to the institute early.

Sheldon stayed behind and invited Winona to dinner.

Since Winona was genuinely interested in many of the institute's research directions, she gladly accepted his invitation.
