When Stefan Goddard walked through the door, Roxana practically bounced over to him, eager to show off her work. "I've been styling Winona! Stefan, doesn't she look absolutely gorgeous?"

Roxana had majored in fashion design in college, but due to her fragile health, her attendance had been spotty. After graduation, Margaret, terrified that the stress of the corporate world would break her, insisted she stay home. To pass the time, Roxana had been practicing her designs on mannequins. The moment she saw Winona's radiant complexion and stunning figure, she couldn't resist. She had begged Winona for ages before finally convincing her to play dress-up.

Stefan gave the outfit a cool, critical look. "Don't force your chaotic sense of style on Winona."

He turned his gaze to Winona. "And you shouldn't indulge her so much. If you give an inch, she'll take a mile."

Winona just smiled softly. She thought Stefan was overreacting. One of her favorite Western pop stars had worn something similar out in public recently. It just proved that Roxana had an eye for high fashion.

"Mr. Goddard, don't be so hard on her. I actually think Roxana is incredibly talented when it comes to fashion," Winona defended gently.

Thrilled by the compliment, Roxana shot her brother a smug look. "See? Winona has impeccable taste! An old-fashioned guy like you just doesn't understand my vision!"

Sitting on the nearby sofa, Violet chuckled as she took a sip of her coffee, clearly amused that Stefan was so quick to be protective of Winona.

Roxana pulled out a few more evening gowns. "Winona, there's the Sterling Gallery Opening Reception in a couple of days. You should come with us! Look, I picked these out for you. We can do our hair and makeup, and when we walk in, we'll absolutely steal the show!"

Stefan took one look at the avant-garde, daring designs and felt a headache coming on. "The dresses you picked aren't appropriate for a gallery reception," he told Winona. "I'll have Samantha pick something out for you instead."

Roxana puffed out her cheeks in protest. "Stefan, why don't you ever believe in me? One day, I'm going to create a fashion line that will stun the world!"

Stefan pinched the bridge of his nose. "Did you forget the fashion studio Mom helped you invest in a couple of years ago? You drew up all those sketches, full of confidence. And what happened?"

He had invested in that studio, too. He'd figured losing thirty million or so was fine if it gave Roxana a hobby. Instead, she managed to burn through a hundred million. He had firmly told her then that she wasn't cut out for business and needed to let the dream go.
