The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 295

Winona gave a soft, affirming hum. "He actually came looking for me just a little while ago."

She recounted Yulen's twisted, transactional theories to Rhea.

Upon hearing it, Rhea practically exploded with rage.

"Wow, the guy really thinks he's a master juggler, doesn't he? Does he honestly believe everyone is just dying to be a part of his little harem?"

Winona leaned back against the sofa, hugging a throw pillow to her chest, a deep frown on her face. "Seeing him this time... he feels entirely different from who he used to be. For him, relationships have completely dissolved into pure business transactions."

Rhea scoffed venomously. "Then why doesn't he just go find a real sugar baby? Plenty of women would be thrilled to entertain a sleazebag like him for the right price. The problem is, he's too damn greedy. He wants genuine love, but he's utterly unwilling to offer sincerity or true devotion. He just wants to take the easy way out and buy it with money. Ha! In his dreams. The world doesn't work that way."

Winona shook her head, a dry, incredulous laugh escaping her lips. "I honestly don't know what to do about him anymore. I'm starting to think he's got the same obsessive, delusional complex as Maeve."

"If you put it that way, Maeve is miles better than him. At least she's fiercely loyal to one person. He's just dirty!"

Winona nodded in agreement. "True. In that specific regard, he really doesn't even measure up to Maeve."

At the hospital, seeing Yulen willing to stay by her side brought a sickeningly sweet smile to Tallulah's face.

She pulled out a small notebook and flipped it open for him to see. "Yulen, while you were away on your trip, I brainstormed a bunch of nicknames for the baby. Take a look and tell me which ones you like."

Yulen distractedly flipped the notebook open, gave it a cursory two-second glance, and said, "They're all fine."

His half-hearted response sent a sting of bitterness through Tallulah's heart. "You didn't even look at them properly."

Yulen checked his watch and asked, "The doctor said we could leave thirty minutes after your IV finished. You shouldn't be in pain anymore, right? Let's just head home early. I still have work to catch up on."

Noticing he was nowhere near as considerate as he used to be, the tightness in Tallulah's chest grew heavier. "Yulen, do you... do you not love me anymore?"
