Not wanting to cause a public scene, Winona Jowett slipped into Yulen Locke's car.

He handed her a cup. "Here. A matcha latte. I picked it up right after work. I know it's your old favorite."

He had been flipping through her old diaries, slowly recalling the little things she used to like.

Winona didn't reach for the drink. "I prefer fruit flavors now," she said flatly. "I don't really drink matcha anymore."

Yulen froze for a second, then set the cup down on the console. "Alright. Next time, I'll get you a fruit one," he replied, his tone perfectly even.

She didn't bother responding.

When they arrived at the luxury boutique, they walked in together. The manager looked surprised to see Yulen walk through the doors with Winona instead of Tallulah Shipley. Still, her high-end retail training kicked in, and she greeted them with a flawless, professional smile.

"The gown I ordered," Yulen said. "Bring it out for my wife to try on."

"Right away, Mr. Locke," the manager nodded, stealing a quick, discreet glance at Winona as she turned away. Was this the real Mrs. Locke? Did he just call all his beautiful companions 'wife'?

Winona stepped into the fitting room. The dress was a bit snug around the waist, but she managed to zip it up.

"I am so sorry, Mrs. Locke," the manager apologized awkwardly. "The measurements seem a little off, and I'm afraid there isn't enough time to alter it for tonight."

"It's fine. No need for alterations," Winona shook her head. "This is perfectly okay."

The measurements Yulen had provided were likely from five or six years ago. Her waist had definitely been a little slimmer back then. It was completely understandable that he hadn't noticed how her body had changed. After all, once they were 'married,' he had never taken her shopping or paid any attention to her clothing sizes.
