The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 336

The bodyguard rushed forward in a panic. "Mr. Locke, are you alright?"

Yulen shook his head dismissively. "I'm fine."

"Should I get the plates on that bike?" the bodyguard asked.

Yulen shook his head. "No. Delivery drivers have it hard enough. No need to make his life miserable."

Seeing Yulen bleed to protect her, Greta completely forgot her previous hostility. "Yulen, are you okay?"

Hearing her finally use his name again without venom, Yulen offered a gentle smile. "I'm alright, kiddo. Let's head home."

Greta nodded earnestly.

Once they arrived at the house, Yulen finally asked the nanny to bring the first-aid kit.

Greta ran to get Nikita and Winona. "Grandma! Winona! Yulen got hit by a bike trying to protect me!"

Seeing the deep, bloody laceration on his arm, Nikita gasped. "Yulen, this won't do! You need to go to the ER and get a tetanus shot. What if it gets infected?"

Yulen chuckled easily. "It’s nothing to worry about. Just a flesh wound. I know my limits. Let's not scare Greta."

Winona watched him, her brow furrowed.

While a part of her was relieved Greta was safe, another part couldn't shake the creeping suspicion that this was a perfectly orchestrated performance.

Yulen turned to Greta. "Don't worry about me, alright? Go get ready for your homework. I hired a private tutor for you, and she should be here any minute."

"Okay," Greta said, scurrying off.

Nikita looked at him in awe. "You hired a tutor for her?"

"Yes," Yulen said easily. "Greta is struggling to adjust because she's falling behind academically. Once her grades improve, her confidence will go up, and she'll make friends.

"Helena is too swamped to manage her studying, so I'm stepping in. I also signed her up for swimming and volleyball on the weekends. The driver can take her. Academics are crucial, but sports build character."
