He began to think he had indulged her for too long, and that was why she had become so careless about work.
Seeing his anger toward Winona grow, Tallulah's eyes curved into a subtle smile. "But Yulen, don't be too upset. Winona hasn't worked in five years, after all. It's normal for her to make a few mistakes."
His expression turned colder. "If it was her mistake, then follow procedure and issue an official reprimand."

Today was Winona's last day at Locke Group. Having completed all her handover tasks, she was ready to leave as soon as the workday ended. Before she left, she gathered the R&D department for one last meeting.
The email announcing Yulen's official reprimand of Winona had been seen by everyone except Winona herself. So, when she entered the conference room, several colleagues, led by Daphne, shot her looks of pure scorn.
Winona was used to their attitude and paid them no mind. She announced her resignation and then shared some of her research insights from over the years, hoping it would be helpful for their future work.
Daphne, however, assumed Winona was only leaving because she had botched the project, and her disdain grew even more pronounced. Only Conrad showed a hint of regret. Losing such a talent was a true loss for Locke Group.
After saying what she needed to, Winona concluded the meeting.
At six o’clock, she sent a message to office management: “You can clear out the things in my office. I won’t be coming back for them.”
With that, she grabbed her bag and walked out. Suddenly, her gaze fell on the trash can by the office door. Inside were several familiar-looking documents. She picked them up and saw they were the research notes she had given her colleagues during the meeting. They had been thrown away.
Yulen had expected Winona to storm into his office and demand an explanation after seeing the reprimand email, but the entire day passed in silence. That evening, he received a call from his third sister, Camille Locke. "Yulen, did you and Winona have a fight? Is she leaving the company?"
Camille was the company's vice president. She had just returned from a business trip to Solace City when Conrad told her about Winona's departure. While everyone else in the company doubted Winona's abilities, Camille and Conrad had always believed in her. Although she didn't approve of Winona's background, she recognized her talent. Winona wasn't suited to be a daughter-in-law of the Locke family, but she was perfect as the R&D director for Locke Group.
"What fight could we possibly have?" Yulen frowned. "And what do you mean she's leaving the company?"
"You don't know?" Camille said. "Conrad told me Winona is resigning."
Yulen immediately assumed Winona was throwing a tantrum over the reprimand and was just threatening to leave. He figured she was just sulking and would quiet down soon enough. Once her anger subsided, she would come back to the company.
