Tired of Tallulah’s unreasonable whining, Yulen lost his patience. He bundled Zayden into the car and told the driver to go. “If I were truly biased toward Winona, would I have taken time out of my busy schedule to go shopping with you, and then take Zayden to the hospital?”
Seeing his irritation, Tallulah fell silent, though she still felt a knot of resentment.
Yulen accompanied Zayden at the hospital, drove the siblings home, and then returned to the villa he shared with Winona. He couldn’t shake the feeling that something had changed lately, or the nagging suspicion that she might really leave him.
He went into the master bedroom, needing to see if her things were still there. The sight of her clothes, neatly arranged in the walk-in closet, brought a wave of relief. It seemed she was just being difficult about their recent squabbles, refusing to come home out of spite.
He resolved to make time to talk to her, to make her understand how busy his work kept him.
What he didn't know was that Tallulah had been the one to rearrange the closet, determined to hide the fact that Winona had already left him.

Helena's last birthday had been an unhappy affair, so Nikita suggested they celebrate it again. Winona ordered a bouquet of flowers and picked it up after work to bring to Helena. Just as she entered the flower shop, she saw Yulen and Tallulah. “Winona, buying flowers?” Tallulah asked with a smile, surprised by the coincidence. Winona’s gaze fell to the blue roses in Tallulah's hands, and her expression darkened. She remembered how Yulen used to bring her blue roses all the time when they were dating. He hadn't in a long time. Now, all the care and attention he once gave her were being lavished on Tallulah.
Fearing a misunderstanding, Yulen explained, “We’re meeting a client, so we’re bringing flowers. What about you?”
“It’s Helena’s birthday,” Winona said flatly.
Yulen’s gaze shifted to her belly, and he pulled himself back to the present. “Alright.”
When Winona arrived at Helena’s, she received a photo from Tallulah. It was a picture of Tallulah and Yulen at a candlelight dinner, their hands clasped tightly. On Tallulah’s ring finger was a brilliant sapphire and diamond ring. Winona had seen it in the news—it was the final, prized item at the Riverton Charity Auction yesterday. People online were buzzing about which mysterious tycoon had bought it and how lucky the recipient must be.
Winona had to admit, Yulen’s love for Tallulah was far more intense than his love for her had ever been.
At Helena’s, she gave her the flowers, which Helena accepted with a smile before placing them in a vase. Matteo then emerged from the kitchen with a platter of food, cheerfully telling her to wash up for dinner.
