The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 612

The little boy crossed his arms arrogantly. "I want to use the swing. Get out of my way!"

"I was here first!" Greta shot back, visibly upset. "You're so rude!"

The boy stuck his tongue out at her. "My dad is the vice president of this hotel! Everyone who works here has to listen to him, which means this whole playground belongs to my family! If I want to play, you have to move!"

Not one to be bullied, Greta stepped up to stop him from taking the swing, and a scuffle broke out.

Spotting the commotion, the boy's nanny hurried over, grabbed Greta, and shoved her roughly to the floor.

"What is wrong with you?" the nanny scolded sharply. "Do you have zero manners? Didn't your mother teach you not to steal from other people?"

Helena, walking over with two cups of fresh juice, saw Greta sprawled on the floor, her pigtails a mess and tears streaming down her face. Her blood boiled.

She rushed forward, shielding Greta behind her, and glared at the nanny and the boy. "Why are you bullying my daughter?!"

The nanny looked Helena up and down, taking in her plain, inexpensive clothes, her eyes flashing with disdain.

The hotel's play area occasionally saw visitors who had purchased cheap discount day passes.

Those guests were restricted to the public sections and were strictly barred from the inner VIP lounges.

Hayden had only wandered out here because he was bored with the VIP toys.

The nanny hadn't expected some clueless brat to actually fight him for a swing.

"I strongly suggest you make your kid apologize to Hayden immediately," the nanny demanded haughtily. "Otherwise, I'll have security throw you out!"

The hotel guards all knew Hayden. All she had to do was say the word, and they would jump to obey.

Helena let out a cold laugh. "I'm a paying guest here just like anyone else. What right do you have to throw us out?"

The guard froze.

Beside him, the nanny burst out laughing, her tone dripping with mockery. "Suite 4002 is a private penthouse, not open to the public. You seriously expect us to believe you're staying there? That is the most pathetic lie I've ever heard. At least try to make it believable."

The guard, who had briefly considered checking the system, immediately dismissed the idea.

He turned a hard look on Helena. "Ma'am, take your kid and leave."

"You haven't even checked the system, and you're kicking us out?" Helena fumed. "Absolutely not. And I am not letting it slide that my daughter was assaulted."

The nanny rolled her eyes, deciding Helena was completely unhinged and mocked her. "Hayden's father calls the shots at this hotel. Throwing a tantrum isn't going to get you anywhere. I suggest you get out of here before you embarrass yourself further. Next time, don't try to flex at a place you clearly can't afford!"

With his nanny and the security guard backing him up, Hayden felt invincible. Smirking, he lunged forward, raising a hand to scratch Greta right in the face.
