The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 617

Helena snatched the bowl and hurled the greasy, chili-infused broth directly onto Yulen's chest.

Hearing the commotion, Yulen's bodyguards moved to intervene, but seeing the flying hot oil, they instinctively stepped back, leaving their boss to take the hit.

The spicy soup soaked into his designer shirt, mixing with the rotten trash. Yulen stood there dripping, radiating a stale, gross smell. Even his own security detail kept their distance, covering their noses.

Seeing the neighbors peeking out of their shops, Helena raised her voice to a theatrical shout. "Look at this guy, everyone! Dressed like a gentleman, but he's absolute scum! He tricked my niece into marriage, cheated on her, and had a baby with another woman! Now he has the nerve to come crawling back! I swear, every time he shows his face here, I'm going to beat him like a stray dog!"

Surrounded by pointing fingers and disgusted whispers, Yulen's face burned with utter humiliation. He turned on his heel and fled to his car.

Greta had been recording the entire spectacle on her mother's phone. She immediately texted the video to Winona: "Look! Mom totally wrecked him today!"

Winona had just finished wrapping up her work when the notification popped up. After watching the clip, she immediately called her aunt.

"Helena, Yulen actually came to harass you?"

"Let him come," Helena scoffed. "I own my own business now. It's not like back when I was working at the clinic and he could pull strings to threaten me."

Winona smiled, her eyes welling with tears. "Thank you, Aunt Helena." She knew her aunt had suffered a lot of silent pressure from Yulen's influence back then, yet she had never complained once.

"Oh, stop," Helena chided warmly. "We're family. We look out for each other."

Sylvan huffed, slightly mollified. "Did you tell Wynne that I'm in the hospital?"

He still harbored a pathetic hope that Wynne would come see him.

Giselle had told her. Wynne's exact response had been: "Good, I hope he dies. Remind him to update his will. If he leaves everything to that other kid, I'll drag his estate through court."

Obviously, Giselle couldn't repeat that. She offered a sympathetic sigh. "Mom said she's really busy right now, so she couldn't make it."

A wave of bitter disappointment washed over Sylvan. Wynne truly didn't care if he lived or died. It had been years, yet she still refused to forgive him. He had made one mistake, and he had spent decades trying to make up for it. He'd kept his mistress and illegitimate child hidden, never letting them set foot in the Scully estate. Wasn't it time she let it go?
