The Wife He Forgot to Marry novel Chapter 62

Winona forced a smile. "Thank you, Aunt Helena."

Tallulah had wanted Yulen to join her at the hot springs, but he insisted on staying with Winona. Furious, she stormed off to a nearby bar.

Since she couldn't drink, she ordered a glass of juice and watched the men and women on the dance floor with a growing sense of boredom. If she hadn’t gotten pregnant so soon, she’d be out there drinking and dancing instead of watching everyone else have fun.

The more she thought about it, the more wronged she felt. She took out her phone and messaged Yulen again, telling him to come join her, but he didn't reply.

She angrily tossed her phone aside.

A drunk man at a nearby table had been eyeing her for a while. Seeing that she was alone, he sauntered over with a lecherous grin. "Hey beautiful, all by yourself? Juice is no fun. Let me buy you a real drink."

Before she could react, his hand was on her shoulder.

One look at his face made Tallulah sick. She tried to push him away, but he pulled her into his arms. "Let go of me!" she screamed.

"My cousin owns this place," the man sneered, holding her tight. "You can scream all you want, it won't do you any good. Spend the night with me, and I'll make sure you have a good time."

Tallulah refused to submit, but she was no match for his strength. As his face lunged toward hers, she quickly pulled out her phone. "I can't tonight, it's that time of the month. But if you really want some company, I can have my sister join you. She has a thing for handsome, charming men like you."

She quickly pulled up a picture of Winona on her phone.

The man’s eyes lit up at the sight of Winona's cool, stunning beauty. "Alright. Where is she? Tell her to come over."

"She's at the hotel," Tallulah said. "How about I take you there?"

The man was suspicious. "You're not planning to run, are you?"

She arrived at room 516 and knocked. The door was immediately yanked open from the inside, and a large hand dragged her into the darkness.

Before Winona could scream, a man's hand clamped over her mouth. The stench of sweat hit her, and she fought the urge to gag.

Then she heard Tallulah's voice. "That's my sister. If you want to have fun, have fun with her! She'll be more than happy to cooperate!"

As the man's fingers fumbled with the buttons of her blouse, Winona pulled out the pepper spray and aimed it directly at his eyes.

A piercing scream echoed in the room as the man clutched his face, cursing loudly.

Winona was no pushover. Her beauty had attracted unwanted attention since high school, and she had learned more than a few ways to protect herself.

She delivered a hard kick to his most vulnerable spot, then grabbed a heavy plaster statuette from a cabinet and smashed it over his head.
